Dodgers actually won a game at Coors last night. Hopefully this is where getting veterans from Atlanta and having Nomar will pay off. Maddux came up big last night. And Philly lost to Washington of all teams. Ideally, the Dodgers could sweep Colorado and Washington beats Philly at least one more of their two games and they get to San Francisco with a 2 game lead on the Phils, who then play the Marlins.
Can't believe St. Louis collapsed against the Padres, especially with Carpenter on the mound. If they lose today's game against the Padres, I hope Houston overtakes them and knocks them out of the playoffs.
The A's finally made it! Aside from the back-to-back homeruns that Harden gave up, they played a good game. Great, actually, as far as offense is concerned.
Now the question is will we be playing the Twins or the Tigers? Hopefully the Tigers, since we've done better against them this season. But it doesn't matter. I'll just be happy if the A's can actually get past the 1st round of playoffs.
Well played season friends (yes, Angels fans are my friends) I'm so excited the A's are back in the playoffs again Clinching on my birthday, what a gift.
I have to say I want Detroit in the first round, The Twins in Minnesota are lethal in the playoffs. I know at some point we'll have to face either the Twins or the Yanks. We've had trouble with both teams in the playoffs, but I really would be happy just getting outta the first round this year. A World Series would be the icing on the cake......but uhh, I need cake first.
Since my boys (the Angels) are officially out of it, I do like the Twins. They have really good momentum going into the playoffs. Plus, when we played them in the 2002 playoffs, their fans were very cool. They weren't obnoxious like some other teams fans I can think of!
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.

The Padres leading the west by 1 game over the Dodgers.
The Cardinals leading the central by 1/2 game over the Astros (who are on FIRE).
The Dodgers lead the wild card by 2 games over Philly.
The Padres finish the season at Arizona.
The Dodgers finish the season at San Francisco.
The Cardinals are at Milwaukee.
The Astros are at the Braves.
The Phillies are at the Marlins,
From looking at this you might think that the Padres and Cardinals have the upper hand, the Padres, yes ... The Cardinals, not so sure. They are playing like crap lately.
This is the only time I'm afraid of the Giants. The Dodgers and Giants have a long history of knocking each other out of the playoffs on the final weekend of the season. Dodgers need at least 1 win to have a tie for the Wild Card. Dodgers need any combination of 5 wins and Padres losses to win the West.
If the NL Central ends with a 1/2 game lead for either the Astros or Cardinals, the Cardinals will have a make up game against the Giants on Monday.
Over in the AL, it's a little less intense, but still should be kick-***.
Tigers and Twins have both clinched playoff berths. Both are tied for the AL Central lead and the Wild Card.
Honestly, IMO, this is for bragging rights only. I can't see the A's or Jankees beating either one of these teams. Tigers are at the Royals, Twins are at the White Sox.
