and do/did you go to college?
and do/did you go to college?
I stay home with my three daughters. And by "stay home" I mean I'm never actually home of course. ;)
I have my BS in Psychology and my MS in Special Education. I taught for four years before staying home with the girls.
I have two jobs, one technically full time and one part time. My part time day job is as an instructional assistant at the high school working with handicapped students. I've been with the district for about 23 years. My full time (on their books anyway) night job is as a monitor tech at the hospital. I've been there almost 13 years. I have a AA degree, which I got long before No Child Left Behind but now it kept me from having to take some silly test, and my other job I took and ROP class to get, plus on the job training.
I work for JPMorgan Chase. Right now I am a phone monkey with a couple of NASD/SEC licenses, and with some study I will be a licensed broker in May. Still going to be a phone monkey...for now anyway. I talk to people about retirement plans.
On edit- I have not finished college. I've got alot under my belt, want more. Landed in this industry kinds on a dare, been here for 8 years. Suspect I am going to stay and start working on a business degree....maybe LOL....
I work with my wife the grave shift at Moonridge acadamy, a residental treatment boarding school for troubled girls. Basicly, we play video games and play on the net while the girls sleep.
I'm still in school.. forever and ever in school... working on a degree in English Education
I'm working towards a BA in Interior Design...I'm at the end of my second year.
Wow!! Who knew!!!!! I'm most impressed with higher edimication, especially since I dont have the patience to go further in my lernin'.Quote:

Do you not necesarlily have to attend college if you want to be a performer? Is there any college or adult program that is focused solely on this profession? I cannot attend any regular university because i wouldnt survive, i visited fullerton college last wednesday and as a special education student there is so much that i actually have to do now in order to qualify for everything next fall and i was so overwhelmed. Another reason im hesitant about college is becuase of the help ive got here in high school (iep team) im not gonna have them in college. Im ever so grateful that im gonna be receiving my diploma in june and yet i dont want it to go waste. Give me your insight as to what i should do, thanks.

Good Luck with school -- I can understand that it's overwhelming but worth the work -- maybe a really small school would work for you -- what kind of performer do you want to be?
I think it depends but you probably could just take classes in what you are interested in.
And Congrats on Graduation :yea:
I am a Branch Manager for Enterprise.
I have my BFA in Media Arts from University of Arizona
I have my MBA in Marketing from National University
I start this job on Wednesday.
And I went to college. Studied art history with a minor in urban planning. Lot of good THAT did me!!!!
I work in television music licensing. It's not glamourous, but it "pays the bills."
Undergraduate degree was unrelated. Teaching Credential wasn't used....
Hey, who said say life wasn't an experiment.
Grad school in the fall--- hopefully I'll finally get to do what I want to do "when I grow up." Else, I'll have to ask if a_hyperbole's new place of work is hiring. ;)
