Ex-Tomorrowland minion here. Started on EO and I think the very last attraction I worked was during my summer stint on Canoes. Mine was a very short tenure from 89-90, but I had a great time and made cool friends. And yeah, managed to get caught up in the soap opera backstage world of cast members (good way to fall into that is to start dating one).
Let's see...once got in trouble with a Lead known only to me as "Annette" who seemed to be quite feared (I had breached her attraction 'out of costume'), was accused of sleeping with another lead, made the rude discovery that another cast member was apparently sexually harrassing my GF at the time, was challenged in a confrotation with an irate guest, and was stupid enough to volunteer for New Year's Eve duty.
Ok, but do we all have to recite poems about donuts? If so, I'll need more time...
Trivia: On April Fool's Day 2004, Disneyland guests found -- at the insistence of the board of directors -- the gigantic dragon featured in Fantasmic replaced with a gigantic Roy Disney (leading to a reprimand to the cast member playing Mickey Mouse when he hugged the giant instead of fighting it)
Roundup days are always fun since they bring so many guests to our little corner of cyberspace. We always welcome newcomers with open arms, so won't you register and let us know all about your take on all things Disney.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.
In the swamp lands long ago, a yippiyuk bit on my toe (Houston TX)
So this giant peacock came to me in a dream and rather forcefully suggested I join MiceChat. I woke up and realized that it was just my cat biting my ear so I would let her out of the room.... BUT I JOINED ANYWAY! I have been reading Mice Age for months now, and I am writing a research paper on Michael Eisner's tenure at The Disney Co. for a college english class. I really think he is the devil, or at least closely genetically linked to the devil.... but no one is perfect... right?
ok, figured I'd give my intro post in the form of a Haiku
I worked attractions
Bugs, Limo and Millionaire
Ok, so I'm not the best Haiku writer out there, at anyrate I've worked for the resort on and off for the last 4 years (mostly and currently on) and love the reaction that it gives people. that's me in a nutshell, if you want to know more analyze my posts or get to know me!
