    NHL Playoffs, Official MC Thread

Ok, I know I'm gonna spend most of my time mumbling to myself in this thread since this forum seems to be exclusively comprised of baseball fans. But since Calgary clinched their division title and most of the playoff positions, save the last few, are pretty set.

    Western Conference:
    1. z - Detroit: 124
    2. y - Dallas: 111
    3. y - Calgary: 103
    4. x - Nashville: 104
    5. x - San Jose: 99
    6. x - Anaheim: 98
    7. x- Colorado: 95
    8. x - Edmonton: 93
    ----------------
    9. Vancouver: 90
    10. Los Angeles: 85

    Eastern Conference:
    1. y - Ottawa: 113
    1. y- Carolina: 112
    3. y - New Jersey: 101
    4. x - Buffalo: 110
    5. x - Philedelphia: 101
    5. x - New York: 100
    7. x - Montreal: 93
    8. x - Tampa Bay: 92
    -----------------
    9. Atlanta: 89
    10. Toronto - 88

The last few spots in the East are a toss up, should be interesting with only a few games remaining.

you'll be surprised at the number of hockey fans we have here, Morrigoon, Talon, Mamabot and myself at the very least..though I'm a fan of the Wild, so the playoffs don't mean much to me this season. but there is nothing more exciting than overtime in the stanley cup playoffs.

Update, looks like the Sharks have beaten the 'Nucks in the regulation. Vancouver is officially out of the playoffs.

An LA loss also eleminates them from playoff contention.

I love that "Owned" clip you have... got any of that "Blueline Special" on a certain goalie from the '01 (I hope I have that right) Playoffs?? Heck, I will take the "Redline Special" if you have it.

Anyhoo, I am awaiting the outcome of the beloved Habs... this could be the year something good happens. Same in Anaheim, but at least I will not have to deal with all the pseudo-hockey fans who follow the Kings (aka the Raider Nation of the NHL).

Oh yeah, for those who wonder that is me on the right in the pic in my signature... and those are my absolutely annoying gloves for the avatar! I am sure one day this will happen to me for wearing them, but oh well.

    Career Stats:
    Regular Season Games=108 (36 goals, 34 assists, 70 points, 22 penalty minutes)
    Playoff Games=11 (6 goals, 7 assists, 13 points, 0 penalty minutes).

Ah, no sorry, that clip of THE DION demolishing that b*stard Avery is the only one I have. Habs look good this year, I expect them to make it deep. An all Canadian Eastern Semi-final would be awesome, Ottawa vs. Montreal.

And as for those pseudo-Kings fans, they really don't have much to cheer about. They're done, no chance of making the playoffs.

Me too, although I would have preferred to have seen the Oilers miss the playoffs too, it's nice that at least the 'Nucks missed it.

It's too bad the Wild missed it, I was gunning for them to make a late season surge.

Best part of no more Can-nots in the playoffs... I can rub it in someone's face this weekend who was screaming Cup with no Habs even in the playoffs before the season started. Poor guy... he might tear up when he hears they are done like my dinner. Buahahahaaaa!!!

I also want the Oilers to lose as soon as possible...they gave the Wild their first round pick this year, so hopefully they go out quickly. I love the city of Vancouver, but hate the canucks.

Oil won't make it past the first round. They'll be fodder for Detroit or Dallas.

I'm looking forward to the game against LA. I don't think THE DION or Iggy were quite done with Avery last time...
