    Question Full Moon?

Since there will be a full moon on Saturday, I would like to ask a question to all of you out there in MiceChatland.
Do you believe that the full moon makes people act a bit more crazy?

The urban myth is that the Police tend to get a bit more busy during a full moon.
    Belive it or not?

(and I don't mean the other type of moon)

Well, my sister works in the ER and she says that it's always a bit busier on full moon nights... crazier people, too.

Ever try teaching during a full moon. I think the kids are crazy regardless, but the edge seems to come to the surface on those days...

..."okay, why is it wrong to throw food? How long have we been in school? Right, thirty weeks. Yep. 30 weeks. And you have been in the office, what 20 times this year for throwing food, right? Okay, so why do you know thirty weeks but not to throw food? Oh, okay, because you were 'just playing.' Let me call you mother again, no, no, no, don't worry, I have it on speed dial."

    Yep, full moon.

    Peace,

Totally! Weird crap just seems to happen when there is a full moon. I've actually seen a "COPS" where at the end the cop was saying what a weird and exhausting night he had and said it must be a full moon. He turns to look and sees that it's a full moon and was like "YEP there it is!" The other cop said that it always seemed that the crazies came out in full force during a full moon.

I also believe it very much, I try not to leave the house on those days either. You take crazy people, add a car and the mayhem ensues.

    LOL

    Re: Full Moon?

I noticed the other day at my hospital job that on one of the doors someone had taped up a list of all the days this year there will be full moon. I'm probably working all of them.

I believe. I know people tend to drive a little wackier. I know -I- act a little "odder" (ok I know I just walked into that one - lol).

    Re: Full Moon?

I totally believe full moons throw people off in very big ways.

It usually for me becomes noticeable a couple days before and a couple days after. EVERYTHING goes whacko. Like today. I am just feeling off, and I started to feel that way last night. So I KNEW immediately "there's a full moon coming" UGH

I think it does...when I was a server we always got werido in around a full moon. I hated working on a full moon...LOL...and when I was doing customer service at my present job we would get the craziest calls, but at least i could put them on hold...LOL...

I also wonder if people use the full moon as an excuse to act odd...maybe suc-conciously...?

Well, I have noticed my fangs feeling extra sharp lately....And didn't I just shave today?....
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

I also feel it more on the days before and after the full moon. But I'm usually fine on the full moon day itself. Very strange.

I have to agree though, I tend to have really great days on days that would otherwise be unlucky or unusual for the rest of the world. Like my lucky number is 13....

    Re: Full Moon?

Scientifically, the moon cycles affect the tides, and the human body is mostly made of water, so it would affect us also.

In a "mystical" sense, the moon can affect a person's emotions, with the full moon greatly enhancing whatever mood is present. Usually, happy feelings are even happier during full moons, and negative emotions run more sour.
