This year, we're taking our mother to the Buxton Inn (a place that the Lonsome Ghosts MCers should enjoy).

Mmm... can't wait to get some of that Chicken Curry soup!

Re: Mothers Day.. So what are you doing for it?

Kathleen's mother is having her affair on Saturday night this year. Turns out I'm working Saturday night so I'll miss that. My mother is now living in an "assisted living" place in Garden Grove, so I will call her for sure Sunday.

I won't get home from work until about 5AM Sunday, but I'm still hoping to go with her to church and maybe brunch or some other cheaper thing since money is tight now.

But don't worry...we'll make sure to make the day special for my special bride.

And I wish a Happy Mothers Day to all!!!

Why? There is so much snow on them - you can't really hike anywhere.

Anyway, my mom and grandma came up to see us. We're just going to my kids soccer games and hanging out.

And my husband brought me flowers because we had to buy a new garage door.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

    That's so sweet!!!!

I sent my mom, my mother in law, my grandma and my stepmom flowers and cards. We won't see any of them this year.

We are working on the house, in the backyard and painting more inside. So that's what we'll be doing tomorrow. We picked out tile for the bathroom and kitchen yesterday, getting those done is defintely present enough! Plus, I got two very nice suprise gift two weeks ago when we were out of town. But we'll probably go out to dinner, my choice

Not doing anything. My mom is 1200 miles away. I forgot to get her a card (because I had a root canal this week and got sick from the Tylenol 3 the prescribed me). I can't call her because she doesn't use the phone. I'll just send her an email (can't send an e-card because she doesn't have a computer... just a little "mailstation" thing for plain text emails).

Sleeping. I have to work night shift tonight so I won't get home until 8 AM in the morning. So I get to spend MY mothers day sleeping. But my cousin and I took my mom in law to breakfast this morning, so we had "our" MD breakfast a day early.

Asked teen daughter if she would be willing to go on a one-day hopper to DL & DCA on Ma's Day. She said she had a party to go to but would rather go to DL with me. Amazing! She would rather spend time w/Mom than friends-what could be a better day, me , my kid, and the happiest place on Earth?

I'll go for a "short" bike ride (probably around 40 miles) in the morning. DW has to work in the morning anyway. She's informed me she's not cooking, and I'll probably offer to go pick up something she likes. Our boys are not home. One has already called. Other than that, it's pretty much like any other Sunday.
Have bicycle, will ride. Finished 2012 with 10,089 miles, 683 hours, and 482,000 feet of elevation gain.
    2013: 201 rides, 8171 miles, 544 hours, 480K feet.
    2014 so far: 6956 miles, 398,000 feet

Tomorrow: Breakfast in bed...they keep asking me what I want. LOL. Got flowers this afternoon from my children and husband. Very cute. My husband works tomorrow so the kids and I will head to my M&D's in the afternoon for a BBQ. I'm bringing the strawberry shortcake. Already sent my mom a beautiful orchid that was delivered on Friday.

Happy Mom's Day to all. You don't have to be a Mom to be that special motherly person in someone's life.

Re: Mothers Day.. So what are you doing for it?

My parents went out to dinner tonight, so as a present to my mom i cleaned the house, did enough laundry for a week and made the house spotless.

    I hope she likes it:P
