Becoming Irregular

I have noticed that since Spring has sprung, the activity on MiceChat has changed. Many regular MiceChat posters, are out and about doing other things. That is as it should be. We need to get up off our chairs, and spend more time away from the computer. The sun is shining. The temperatures are rising.

So how do you spend your time enjoyably away from MiceChat? Perhaps you have taken up a hobby. Taken up jogging. Started a garden. Been on a trip. Gotten a new job.

If you use to spend a great amount of time, here posting on MiceChat and now that Winter has gone, you choose to do other things.

Tell us about it, if you like.

Most of my time away from Micechat is spent with my family. Also find time to play some guitar, do some online computer gaming, play Shadowrun (a futuristic role playing game) with friends, grab an ocassional (very ocassional) ride on the motorcycle, excercise at the Y every Tuesday and Saturday, watch Brewers/Bucks/Packer games. Probably a couple other things here and there.

I have too many hobbies, to list here. When I am not spending time with my grandson, Sean, I am either gardening, scrapbooking, crocheting, playing video games, or watching baseball. I can, however, watch baseball, and MiceChat at the same time.

Then of course, there are the mundane chores of a stay at home granny. Things like cooking, and the occasional cleaning of the house.

Our wedding is now in less than 5 months. Needless to say, I have no life outside of wedding stuff. I could probably show up to a meet and no one would recognize me, it's been so long.

But, we'll be around a lot more come November.

So how do you spend your time enjoyably away from MiceChat?

90% of my MC time is spent at work, so although I'm on here a lot, it doesn't take away from my REAL life. And no, I'm not wasting work time... I work an an internet company and they allow fooling around on the web as long as work gets done.

Outside of MC I do regular stuff like hang out with my daughter, watch movies and select TV shows (Sopranos, Mythbusters, Penn and Teller are just about it). I have semi-nightly phone convos with my BF and alter-ego that can last for hours. Every weekend is jam packed with visiting friends, going to Disneyland or enjoying the sights around beautiful Southern California.

well I do most of my posting at work, and I spend a lot of time all afternoon and evening with my kids. when they get bored with me I post, then we go off a do something else. all three like to do there own thing, so on the weekends we all go together to do some thing, last week was the fish hatchery and duck pond out of town and next week we are going out of town to do some shopping for health foods. ( food co-op ) living in a small rtown can suck badly when you need things and have to drive 90 miles to get it. so we will also go to target, and costco.
at home when I am off from work ( which is sually never since I do 39 hours of work a week and its spread over weekends to) I will clean a room, post a few, clean a room post a few and so on. so why get off mice chat, or off my seat when I canget things done and post

I've been doing a lot of reading lately. I get a hair up my butt sometimes and just read voraciously for a few weeks or months, and then drop it completely, usually in the middle of a book. I have a book and a half lined up (meaning I'm 1/2way through one at the moment). I can feel the reading but waning a bit, but I don't know if I'm going to poop out at the end of the current book, or if I'll make it through the next book before I stop.

Since I got on the reading bug, I've read:

The Gospel of Judas
Reading Lolita in Tehran (GREAT book!)
The Da Vinci Code
Memoirs of a Geisha
Angels and Demons (prequel to the DVC)

and now reading Digital Fortress

My next book up is supposed to be a kind of prequel to Marion Zimmer Bradley's Avalon series, but it's by that chick she used to co-author with, whose name escapes me at the moment.
