    Mutant artichoke

    Okay, not really. Actually it's called a long-stem artichoke (who knew?). Got two of these at Stater Bros. a couple days ago and meant to put pictures up earlier. These are GORGEOUS, tightly packed, but FREAKISHLY HUGE!







    Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

    I was really hoping that the "mutant" artichoke would shoot beams out of its leaves or something. Control the weather maybe.

    I guess I'll have to learn to live with the disappointment.

    Take another look. I think a face hugging alien is about to pop out of it in the last pic.
