    Ikea Furniture: Legos for Adults?

I know some might argue Legos are Legos for Adults but I digress:

I bought a desk at Ikea last night for my room, and the second it came home, half of my friends were over asking if they could help put it together. I never knew putting furniture together was a ten person project!

And you know what? It was really fun putting that thing together!

Does anyone else have as much fun as we do putting together Ikea furniture (or any other type of assembly required furniture), or are my friends and I crazy?

As much as I love Ikea furniture, I can't say I'm a fan of putting the stuff together. I'm just girly like that.

My g/f's garage is full of boxes of Ikea furniture. She's a manager at one and gets like a 50% discount off all the stuff. Currently we're buying stuff for our new apartment.

I am the QUEEN of putting Ikea furniture together. I've got a drawer full of those little wrench do-dads all the furniture comes with. So, yes, I love putting furniture together.
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

issue was that sometimes the "directions" (ha! some directions!) were not clear at all. So I made it up as I went along. Stuff is still together so I must have done something right.

ikea funiture is only fun when you have an electric screwdriver, otherwise its a pain, though maybe the american flat packs have all the pilot holes in the right places...... we dont, thats why you need a cup of tea while assembling

The furniture is easy to put together. Although I'll admit, putting together my entertainment center was easier then putting a stool together! Unfortunately for me, I have to put one of my cd towers back together after it mysteriously fell to the floor, loaded with cd's. I'm just glad it didn't hit my tv.

The husband swares he hates putting the stuff together, but the minute we get home, he's got it out of the box and all over the floor. It's like some secret Ikea fetish.
