Wow, you'd better get that truck under some cover before you lose your windshield! We get hail in Seattle, but not like that!

My truck got pelted with them, and I had no place to put it, BUT the insurence covers it! YaY!!! It didn't hail any more after the on slaught that ensued before I took these pics

(Sorry about the pic of me. I was taking a nap when the hail started. It woke me up and when my father took the pic I hadn't even thought about how I looked!)

Back in about 1978, my mom, dad, sister and I were visiting my aunt and uncle in Ft. Collins, CO. We went to their local indoor shopping mall, and it started sounding like a bowling alley on the roof of the shopping mall. and soon someone on the loudspeaker was warning all the shoppers to stay inside the shops.

Some of the Sky Lights were breaking and falling to the ground in the main walkways. We made it to one of the mall exits and saw Baseball to Softball size hail falling! It was the most costly storm to hit Colorado, with all the car damage and roof damage. Hailstones that fell in the grass created holes in the ground. I've see other storms and tornadoes, but that afternoon storm was the most bizarre I've ever seen.
