Hey, I'm 16 from Southern California. I'm just an average guy with no special connections to Disney, and I'm kinda just starting to educate myself on Disney history. I've only gone to Disneyland about 5 times in my life, and I thought this place would be kinda fun to join, I like the articles, especially the pics. I hope I can contribute to the board with my thoughts. Nice to be here, see ya out there.
Your special connection to Disney is that you're here with people who know exactly what you love. You have much to learn Padwan... but we are more than happy to be here for you!Originally Posted by Murphy

Hello
My name is Erik and I'm twenty one. My roommate and good friend is Retlaw Yensid and he convinced me to join up. I check the boards often so I thought it's about time to join up. I am also a SACRAMENTO KINGS FAN...none of this LA business.

I'm a consumate lurker on most boards, but I guess I'll get around to speaking up and at least saying hello.
I'm a 35 year old woman from Austin, TX. Originally born and Raised in Souther California so got to visit the parks there regularly until I moved here in 1996. Unfortunately I've not made it west to Disneyland since.
I've been a Disney fan for as long as I can really ever remember, although its funny I spent many years not really talking about it. I guess I thought people would think I was strange.
I stumbled on mouseplanet, then miceage, and laughing place about a year or two ago, and I've been hooked ever since. Its part of my daily surfing habit, and I was glad to find these forums for when I just needed a dose more of whats going on out there.
Probably the most fascinating thing for me is history, learning about things that were considered but not done, seeing pictures of things being constructed, etc. Seems to always catch my interest in a hurry.
Being here in the middle of the US I've not been to Disney at all in a few years. My first and only trip to Disneyworld was in 2001 shortly after 9/11, it was wonderful, I'd love to go back. I also want to go see what happened to my old home of disneyland over the years.
I hope to find a new home here, and find some like minded people to share thoughts, stories, and memories with, learn a little more, and teach a little more in the process.
I love to talk, but sometimes I'm a bit shy, don't be afraid to drag me out of my shell, or PM me to death![]()

I don’t feel like a new comer…. I have been reading Al’s articles since the AOL days and have enjoyed reading them over the years. I’m also active on the Laughingplace message boards.
By day I am a network administrator and by night I teach computer graphics and digital video at a local Jr. College. Hence my screen name ni_teach is short for night teacher.
As for my picture (left) I was tempted to put the caption “Does this make me look like a geek?” But changed my mind….. Everyone knows that I am a geek.
Hi I live in Northern Ca, more northern than ever before. I lived in the sf bay area all my life till a year ago when we moved to Placer Co. My obesssion with DL came the year we both were born ( more than you wanted to know lol) I go ever year at least once sometimes more, my daughters can start to tell by the glazed over look in my eyes when I need and DL fix. I am married to a man who actually like DCA !!! and he wont even go on a rollercoaster.I think its the crowd control they have there !!!
Welcome to the MC.com family you all!!!! Hope to see you around!!!!!

Finally got the time to sign up on this board. I follow Lost Boy (that's what little sisters do you know, follow after their big brothers) wherever he goes![]()
So now this makes five boards for me, LPlace, MP, Fab, LPad and now MA.I don't have much time during the school year to post but I do check in often. I have been a First Grade Teacher's Aide for 13 years.
I am a native So. Cal. gal and first went to Disneyland on July 18, 1955. I am married and have a soon-to-be 21 year old daughter who has recently gotten involved in Civil War Reenactment.
I am also a 3 1/2 year breast cancer survivorand have recently lost 33 pounds and work out at Curves For Women every day.
Its great to be here and see so many familiar names. I think Al's updates are the best!![]()
