Hi I am BigmacX. I have been reading about Disney on the net for a little more than a year, but as always keeping my low profile. Been in love with WDW since mi first visit to MK way back in 1981 with my grandparents, at age 6. Since that moment I have fallen in love with that place so much that I want to have my ashes scattered al over WDW area, as my final destination.
My wife now has the same passion for this like I do, specially since her first trip and our Honeymoon trip was at WDW resort. It is so magical, that always brings my inner child back.

Hey, I registered a while ago, but have never posted. My name is Tom and I live in Mesa, AZ. I try to visit Disneyland at least once a year, and I have almost every year of my life (all 22 years of it). My favorite ride is Space Mountain. I like long walks on the beach and . . . wait wrong forum. Anywoo, Hey everyone!
Lurking and enjoying and decided to join the cyber family. I'm in Montana and get few trips to Disneyland - but am always glad to live life thru other people.
You guys rock and have been making me laugh - hopefully, I can spread a bit of fun your way!
Hello all. I'm 28 years old and have lived in Orange County all my life. Two and a half years ago I moved to Anaheim with my fiancee, now wife, and basically ignored the fact that Disneyland was a mere few blocks away(except for the firework shows that are quite audible from my place). In March of this year my wife and I celebrated our first anniversary and I decided to spend one of my random government job paid holidays at Disneyland. Upon viewing the price of tickets I waxed nostalgic of how I hadn't paid to enter Disneyland in...well a longtime, since my friends sister used to work there and get us in for free. Personally, the last time I had been to the parks was in 2001 when DCA was fairly new.
The thing is, Disneyland just wasn't really my style. It was a place for kids, with weak rides and lame characters walking around. I'm more about the crazy roller coasters of Six Flags or Knott's. To me Disneyland sounded like a headache, but it was a headache I hadn't had in a long time, so I decided it would be alright to take my wife for our anniversary.
Then a funny thing happened. A few days before we went I started comparing the different ticket prices and thought "Why pay 120 bucks for two tickets when I can get an annual pass for around 100 bucks?" which turned into "With all those blackout days, I might as well get a better pass". So my intended one day trip to Disneyland(again, a place that I wasn't really thrilled to go to in the first place) turned into me purchasing two deluxe AP's.
And then another funny thing happened. Since that day in late March, I have been to the DLR at least once a week almost every week since. It turns out that a friend, and my sister in law, and her friends all have AP's and have been going every Tuesday. It's now a ritual, a ritual that I love. I have fallen in love with Disneyland the same way I loved it when I was a kid. It's hard to explain how much fun I've had since getting my passes. Since that time I've seen an awesome fireworks show that was almost tear inducing, I finally experienced Soarin', which was chilling. I got on Space Mountain during the preview week and rode in the very front my first time back on the ride in years, and couldn't get get the stupid grin of my face for hours. I even waited in line overnight on the 17th to be one of the first people in the park for the birthday celebration. All in all, I can now say that I may be slightly addicted to Disneyland. My wife and I are already talking about moving up to premium passes for next year. And I am happy to have found a place here at Micechat to feed my little addiction.
