Welcome to MiceChat!
Welcome to MiceChat!
Iím Andy. Iíve been around MiceChat now since the middle of October. I just noticed that this should be my 100th post, so I thought it was time to introduce myself to those who donít know me.
I have been involved with Disney forums and such since about 1996. Way back then there was a group mostly from the ADD Usenet that called them selves the Radi-Cals and met on some Sundays (few and far between) between (guess where?) Goofy and White Rabbit. Well, that seemed (to me) to be too long between meets, so Al and I started trying to get a regular thing started on Sundays, and it developed into meets of from a low of about 10 to 12 to a high of over 40, with usually in the mid twenty something people. That was what seems like long, long ago. Well, now many of the ADDíers are gone, but the MiceChatíers are there now and since IĎve been able to get back Iíve really enjoyed both the Sunday meets (meeting new Disney fans) and the conversation on this forum (the only one I read and post to).
Iíve been going to DL since 1955 (not opening day, but opening year) and I went at least two or three times per year with my family. Then I got a paper route with a local newspaper and got to go probably once a month (my family and friends used to joke that I should move in to DL). Then I got married and still went about 2 or three times per year. In the early 1990ís (1993 I think) I found about annual passes so, we got them and my visits immediately increased from two or three times per year to monthly. My wife and I saw how much fun other folks were having swing dancing Saturday eves, so we took dance lessons and started going weekly for dinner and swing dancing. That was about the time I met up with Al and started going weekly on Sundays as well.
Then about 3 ago the handbasket got passed to me an my Disneyland days dropped off significantly. I still kept my annual pass as we still went sometimes on Sat eve to listen to music and talk to good friends we made dancing at DL.
WDW Ė In 1994 we made our first trip to WDW, stayed at what was then called The Disney Vacation Club (the only Disney Vacation Club resort then, but now it is called Disneyís Old Key West Resort) and we bought a membership (timeshare) and started going there once or twice a year.
In 1996 I started Anaheim to Orlando (a Bi-Coastal Comparison of Disney). It has been rather ignored for a few years, but now I plan to update it and start it again under itís own domain (AnaheimToOrlando.com), look for an announcement on MiceChat when I am ready to re-open.
In 2001 I published Walt Disney World To Go for Palm OS and PocketPC devices, and it has been helping visitors to WDW since 2001 and it is still being updated on a regular basis. Right now I'm working on DInseyland TO Go, and I hope to publish it early next year.
Whew, I guess Iíve had a pretty busy Disney-filled life.
Well, I wanted to make my 100th post a milestone. I hope to be here on MiceChat for a long time, thanks for sharing your life with me and thanks for having me here.
I am 16 years old and an avid disney fan. Long time reader, short time poster. I joined a while ago but I have just now started posting. I got into Disney stuff when I learned that my uncle was an Imaginear! He is the coolest. I try to go to Disneyland whenever I can. Love what you do. Peace.
Hey, I'm Danielle! I'm 16 and I love disney! Im DisneyMania!'s friend and she has been telling me to sign up for... well, EVER! Ive heard cool stuff about you guys. Cant wait to meet you!
Hi, I'm Kirsten. A 27 year old Disney fan, or as my sister informed me the other day "You're obsessed with Disney!!!!" :))
I have been a member for a couple of months but I usually just lurk. Thought it was time to introduce myself. I am heading down to DLR at the end of the week with my daughter and sister to celebrate Christmas. The parents are coming as welll, but not sure if we can convince them to spend the money to come into the park (they aren't much on rides, but enjoy people watching - but why pay $50+ dollars to do that, right?)
Anyway, I'm glad to be here.
Hello Everyone! My name is Kara which is pronounced car-a but whatever. My friends call me Kara Pan in a mocking way but I own up to it. I love Disney and I'm an annual passholder. Where else can you act like a kid all day without feeling like an idiot and getting strange looks from people? I can't help but love it. So I hope I can make a good impression with everyone.
Welcome ! Enjoy the ride! thanks for joining Micechat!
Good day...I am MousEarz and the Earz in my avatar are those of my precious pooch, who has Mouse Ears of her own of course. I grew up exactly 60 miles door-to-door from DL and was at the park often, especially in high school when our band was often called to fill empty dates where there was no band booked. I now live on the other side of the country :( and this is my daily Disney fix. I've been reading Al's updates since the DIG days; which I'm sure isn't something unique around here. I joined MiceChat back in June, but have only become more active in recent weeks. What a super group of people. :D
I was a regular on another Disney message board for three years. Then I became fed up with a few pugnacious posters and received a very nice invitation to Micechat. I'm looking forward to getting to know some new people here.
Welcome To MiceChat MouseEarz and Little Buck. Hope you have good time here. :)
Hey all! I'm Gregory_510 and I'm coming to you from Pittsburg, CA (not PA), a suburb of San Francisco. I live with my partner of 2.5 years, Jay-R, and our two cats, Curtis and Neptune. I've been reading the MiceAge columns for about a year and finally decided to join in on the forums. My love of Disney started early on as a child but died out in my teen years. I renewed my passion for Disney when I started planning a trip to Walt Disney World back in January 2004 and now I canít get enough Disney in diet! I canít wait to chat with a bunch of people who are just as wacko on Disney as I am!

Welcome to MiceChat, Mickey Is God, but you're better off posting this in the Community Outpost rather than here. This thread is for introducing yourself upon your first arrival, not advertising buying wishes.
Hi all! This is my first post here. I'm pretty new to chatting. In fact my daughter calls me computer illiterate, but hey- I'm learning.
I have 3 daughters-2 still at home- and 1 grandson (just born Aug. 31st!). I'm very involved in my kids' lives so have little time left just for me. When I do have a spare minute, I love to plan vacations! Anywhere is okay, but WDW is my all time very most favorite! We've only been once, but we've recently bought a camper, so I'm hoping we'll be able to afford a trip some time soon!
Hi, My name is Stephanie (as if you could not figure that out. I'm not very imaginative when it comes to screen names.) My husband and I live in Citrus Heights, CA. Just out of Sacramento. I've been going to Disneyland since I was a little kid and now enjoy taking my husband who only went once while growing up. We live with our 7 cats, Sasha, Tigger, Fuzzy, Funnyface, Orange Kitty, Pookie and Little Black Momma Kitty. I've never posted before as I am intimidated and feel I don't really have anything to add, but I really like reading everyone elses posts. Maybe now that I have broken the ice I'll start posting a little bit.
