I don't think I ever told who I was. My name is John, or Indiana John (nick-name, lol). It is my last year in high school, and after high school I hope to become a Disney Imagineer. My favorite movies are Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Back to the Future, James Bond, and The Blues Brothers (great movie) I will be 18 year old in about 3 months. That is just a little bit about me. It is great being here. GO Mice Chat!!!!

Re: Welcome Newcomers! Please introduce yourself.

Greetings, everyone. I just joined the board. I post quite a bit at some other forums, and I wanted to branch out. I am currently a law student in Nashville, and I am working in Atlanta. I am originally from Indiana and went to undergrad up there. Heading back to the World this August for the first time since my College Program at Epcot, and VERY excited about that. Send me a message and say hello!

Hi everyone, my name is Lisa and I am happy to now be an official member of Micechat and not just a lurker. I have a 7 year old son who loves all things Disney. He does come by it naturally though . I think this is a great site and find it very informative and also at times very funny. I really appreciate the great pictures too. Thanks.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm Benjo. I'm a long-time WDW veterand who is making his first DLR trip in a few weeks. I'm very glad to have found these boards, they seem like the best for DL info out there.

I'm looking forward to talking with you all about DLR on the boards, and be sure to PM me if you have any WDW questions and I can probably help you find the answer.

    Talk to you all soon

    Hi Guys,

I'm Train Nut (Greg). I live in Brentwood in Northern California. I have lived in the bay area for about eight years now. I grew up in Westminster, about fifteen minutes from DL. I worked at DL for about five years in the ninetys (35th Anniversary thru the 40th Anniversary). I worked in the old parking lot driving trams and as a conductor on the steam trains. Any guess which job I liked best? I am married with three kids. We try to go to the DLR once a year, but it is very expensive with three kids. I enjoy reading the posts on Micechat. It keeps me up to date between visits.

Cool Re: Welcome Newcomers! Please introduce yourself.

    Hey now.

Been reading Al's stuff since finding the DIG in 1997. I've mostly only posted on mouseplanet and wdwmagic, but with a DL trip this summer, I needed more (despite the reputation points thing, which is a bit too high school for my tastes). Always loved theme parks, although these days outside of Disney and Universal, I pretty much stick to coasters. I must admit, though, that after decades of driving, I do like a good bumper car ride (which I would define as the opposite of that thing at Flik's Fun Fair).

My 3 favorite places are DL, Maui and Yosemite.
Grew up in Birmingham, but visited DL 3 times before visiting WDW (after moving to California).
Met my wife at a Doctor Who convention.
Only teams I follow are Alabama football, San Jose Sharks Hockey, and whatever hockey team my son is on (I was so proud the first time he said "Beat L.A.").
Pirates and the HM are to me the quintessential Disney attractions.
Favorite (a word I find difficult to use) DL ride-Space
    Favorite MK-Splash, DCA-Soarin', Epcot-MS, MGM-ToT, AK-Dinosaur (haven't ridden EE)
Two best rides IMO in Orlando area- Spiderman and Revenge of the Mummy.
Love live music, self-proclaimed deadhead, but dig jazz, blues, bluegrass, rock....CD collection spans from Chet Atkins to Frank Zappa.
Disney animation is incredibly rich, lush and detailed. But I still think Bugs Bunny is way funnier than Mickey Mouse.
I strongly urge any DL fan to check out the Mouse Tales books and The E Ticket magazine.
I think someone on a message board telling people what Walt would want is utterly prepostorous!
I am fully in favor of letting imagineers and other creative types being allowed to create, even with the loss or alteration of a beloved attraction, and even when they fail, IF they are given the proper time, budget and other resources.

We may disagree, but I'll strive to keep it civil from my end.

    Cheers.

Re: Welcome Newcomers! Please introduce yourself.

Hi everybody!! I'm Emma. I'm 14, and I'm on here with my mom, who is the big Disney-er in our family. My mom is still too shy to post (i'm working on that) but she comes on here all the time and reads everything. She's always talking about all the cool stuff she reads on here, so i thought i'd come check it out. We live in California, and come to Disneyland at least once a year. This past year we had annual passes and we came about 5 or 6 times, and we just renewed them. My dad is a high school music director and he takes his band/choir/jazz band to Magic Music Days every year. We were also sort of friends with the old Dapper Dans. I really miss them. They even knew me and knew my name because we always stopped and listened to them all the time. They were so cool. A little bit about me: I love tinkerbell (of course, who doesn't!?) I've played violin for 11 years and piano for 9, everybody in our family is a musician. My parents are both professionals and private teachers. Mom on clarinet, and dad on french horn and trumpet. My brother plays viola and piano. I also love singing and i love musical theater. Well, that's about it. I'm excited to read more and get to know you guys better!!

Welcome everyone! This is a great place to learn about Disneyland. I have to confess, I've become addicted, however.
