I agree. If I were Pvt, I would also want to do something that allows me to experience a bit of cultural diversity.Originally Posted by WRDup

Just got back from there. Radio City Music Hall is across the street from NBC. DON'T eat at Roxy's in Times Square. There's better deli's in California. Don't miss WHITE CASTLES!!!

Hope you had a blast!
Of course I am a sports fan, but unless I missed it...I am surprised that no one has mentioned...at least getting a look at...
Madison Square Garden...where some of the most legendary basketball and hockey players, boxers, and others have performed...(yes it's not exactly the same Garden it used to be)
and Yankee Stadium...if you can't take in a game here at what I call the mother church of baseball...this is the House that Babe Ruth built (even if it was refurbished in the 70's) - at least get a glimpse of a place that is very important in its own way in America's cultural history.
Enjoy!!!

Thank you POISONEDAPPLES!
Definetly go to White Castle and get kicked out. We once ate at the Carnige (Sp) Deli. It was crazy busy. They crammed us in the small room with about 15,000 other people like were in some concentration camp (too soon?). Anyway it was good but unless you really want to be able to tell people you ate there eat next door. Its not as busy and def cheaper.
My friends and I have this thing where we try to eat at every Hard Rock and TGI Fridays in the world. So we hit up TGIF and the Hard Rock. Its the same food just more expensive but were that much closer to completing our mission.
Point of story... enjoy the food. For some reason I really enjoy eating a bagel and hot chocolate while riding the train early in the morning.
But honestly my fav part of the city is riding the subway. Its so efficient. I like being able to get everywhere by walking. Eff cars.
see the subway is fun!
