The Dalton Gang, also the Youngers, Cantrell's and Frank and Jesse James (Belle Starr too..but have you seen a pic of her..*shudders*)

Coolest one we are trying to confirm... Way way way WAY distant cousin (gods know how many times removed) of Ewan McGregor (apparently our family has McGregor's in it that came from Crieff in Scotland).. But can't say for sure on that one.

    The others..yup, those are documented.

*) A great-great (no sure how many) uncle was Edwin Staton, secretary of war under Mr. Abraham Lincoln. This would be the same gentleman, who, for mysterious reasons, told the president's guards they weren't needed one night at Ford's Theatre. After all, the war was over....

*) Chief Sheriff in York County, PA investigated the famed "Hex" murder of the 1920s was a great uncle. Seems several Amish youth felt that their misfortunes were caused by a hex from a local farmer. They decided to break the hex by murdering the man in a grisly slaughter--to make sure his remains would not come back to haunt them. There's a book "Hex" by Arthur Lewis and a really, really crappy movie called "Apprentice to Murder" with Donald Sutherland. They had to ask for my grandfather's permission to use name et al. And then, you see the movie---and the character wasn't who was in the book or whom was related to me.

    Peace,

Yes it was...he lost the 1968 Presidential election to Richard Nixon in one of the closer races ever...

I'm the cousin of Beach Boys founder and musical genius (in my opinion) Brian Wilson...and his late brothers Dennis and Carl. Distant cousin of Mike Love.

PS...Someone mentioned Dean Martin earlier...Carl married Dean Martin's daughter Gina in 1987. There were 15 tour buses lined up to take guests to the church, and after the ceremony the reception was held at Bally's...taking up one entire floor of the hotel, and more food than I'd ever seen in one place or so it seemed.

I also remember the welcome packet we all received, which included this note...Mr. Martin hopes your really enjoy your stay here, but he cannot be held responsible for any gambling losses you might incur...
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I'm related to Diana Rigg (English actress most famous for The Avengers). She is my grandpa's 2nd cousin. Not exactly sure what that makes my relation to her.
