    Re: Related to anyone famous?

I am related to Henry Clay Here's a little info on him (taken from Wikipedia it's fairly correct accourding to our family records): Henry Clay (April 12, 1777 in Hanover County, VirginiaJune 29, 1852 in Washington, D.C.) was a leading American statesman and orator who served in both the House of Representatives and Senate. He was the founder and leader of the Whig Party, the leading advocate of programs for modernizing the economy (such as canals, railroads and banks).

Although his multiple attempts at the presidency failed, he to a large extent defined the issues of the Second Party System. He was known as the Great Compromiser because of his success in brokering compromises on the slavery issue, especially in 1820 and 1850. In 1957 a Senate committee chaired by John F. Kennedy, named Clay as one of the five greatest Senators in American history.

My girlfriend Kristina (fiance if all goes well tonight wish me luck guys) is directly related to Frank & Jesse James. How cool is that? They are 2 of the most famous outlaws in the history of the wild west. Which if that isn't cool enough that make her related to motorcycle builder and host of Monster Garage Jesse James someone I totaly respect in the bike world.

Are you referring to Jack Kilby ? Because he is old, but I really doubt he's got great-great-great-great grandchildren as yet.....

On my mother's side of the family, we can trace the geneology back to the Revolution, but no further (as least as far as I know). No one famous from my mom's side. But, on that side of the family, we have people who fought in the Revolution, the war of 1812, the Mexican-American war (1848), the Civil war (both sides), and both World Wars.

I too have a signer of the dec. of independence. We have a huge family history book, my mom's side. The Brinkerhoff's (various spellings) played parts in the revolution. There's even a building in the town I grew up in named after them!

My cousin is married to a former pairs ice skater who is well known in Germany. We're related by marriage! Though I have no doubt their adorble son will be famous himself someday!

    That's about it
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
