For the last few years, my aunts have been able to find family history that dates back to BC. From their research they found that we are in ways related to the Disneys, Teddy Roosevelt, & several kings and queens.
EDIT: However our links to the other famous people are not as strong compared to the link our family has with the 18th president.

On my mother's side, Leonard Slye (better known as Roy Rogers) was a cousin and Will Rogers married another cousin. There's speculation, but no confirmation, that Anne Frank was part of the family. My great-grandparents wouldn't speak of their past, so there was no way to be certain. It wasn't until some time after their death that we learned their real names. My great-grandfather's real name was Matthias Frank. When my mother was very young, she looked a lot like Anne. But, because my great-grandmother, through her thick Russian accent, claimed her family had always lived in St. Louis and my great-grandfather had a similar story, nor did they leave behind much evidence, there's no way to be certain.
On my father's side... not many that I know of. I'm aware that I'm at least somewhat of a direct descendant of Isaac Crabtree, the only white survivor of the James Boone massacar at Boonesborough.
On my father's side, we believe we're direct descendants of Daniel Boone. My dad always said we were, but we haven't been able to connect all the dots. We do know our ancestors had close personal and business relationships with the Boones and the two families married together in the late 1700's or early 1800's.
On my mother's side, nobody famous that we know of, but my great-great grandfather was a Swiss watchmaker and for some odd reason, I've always thought that was cool.
Im related to Ritchie Valens. He's my cousin or at least he was.
That's funny... my dad used to rollerskate with/against him when they were kids. They didn't really know eachother that well anymore by the time they went to San Fernando High.
I can't think offhand of any great connections, other than my mom being related to Mary, Queen of Scots by adoption. Not too exciting. Although my paternal grandfather apparently ran off with the governor's wife...
Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
