My dog survived the hike to Stewart Falls - Barely

I have the sweetest St. Bernard named Murphy. He's pretty much a glorified throw rug. He loves to lounge. We took him to Utah with us this weekend. The whole family decided to take a hike to Stewart Falls (just above Sundance Ski Resort), and he wanted to get in the car with us - so we took him. After the 45 minute hike, he was so tired that it was difficult for him to bend over and get a drink of water - so he just laid down in the river and opened his mouth. Anyway, I thought he was kinda cute.

My dog can't hike anymore, she has hip dysplasia, artheritis and a heart condition. Its terrible beacause shes only 6

He's cute! My dog will lie down when he's tired though he pretends he's tired pretty quickly.

I was amazed that Murphy made it! We usually walk a block to a park and he lies down and there is no budging him!

How funny, he sure had the right idea when he got up there! We just got a pool and I figured my dogs would figure out they could lay on the steps and keep cool but no... they just drink the water.
