    Energy Drinks

I have recently stumbled into the world of energy drinks. My morning regimen used to be getting a soda and drinking it around 8:30 in the morning (coffee tends to be a bit too strong for me, and plus, it tastes like dookie). So, I bought some uber yummy energy drink from Albertsons...forget the name. Since then I have found Sugar Free Full Throttle and Diet Rock Star. Very good drinks, but don't really pack that YOWZA I'm looking for.

What are your favorites? What tastes like hell in a can? What makes you want to spontaneously crap yourself? Help!!

Mountain Dew amp is good, tastes great, and has a good kick to it.

Red Bull and the TAB energy drinks are two of the fowlest flavours on earth.

I usually stick to Mountain Dew Amp.

The only thing I tried was Red Bull it did pretty good for about 3hrs. I wasn't to keen on the taste so i just mixed it with a fruity drink to kill the
    taste.

Just be careful with the energy drinks - my uncle got hooked on them and was drinking 3-4 a day and did some pretty serious liver damage.

I usually just drink this powder stuff. It goes in water and kind of fizzes. It perks me up withoutt he jittery yucky feeling I get from energy drinks. I forgot the name, but a box of 30 was about $10.00 at target..

the only one I drink is Vault...doesn't REALLY do anything, but, it taste good. I don't think I could handle Red Bull. I have heart problems. My heartbeat speeds up for no reason...so, I think it's wise to stay away from those things.

    Re: Energy Drinks

I noticed that energy drinks really didn't do anything for me while driving cross-country. I had a red bull, and I still wanted to sleep about 30 minutes after having it. Weird.

Thanks, BFJen...I'm only drinking one...and I have a feeling that those "stronger" ones (aka: the ones not manufactured by the soda companies) may be the ones doing the damage.

The Full Throttle does taste pretty good, though...it has an orange soda taste to it, and it gets me through my rigorous treadmill work-out.

I think there was one other brand he liked too - the drinks just have so much caffeine and sugar that they can't be good for you in high doses.

I only get the sugar free Full Throttle. I really wish it would jack me up...I remember when we drove from Kansas to Utah, and my husband slammed two, thinking we were going to have to drive another 8 hours...well, we didn't...we found a motel 4 miles away. I couldn't get him to shut up or stop moving for like an hour straight.
