    Halloween Costumes!

With all the pics from Bat Day, pirates talk and the Disney Store having a costume sale this weekend! I'm too excited for Halloween! I just bought my Minnie Mouse shoes to go with my dress. Now, I just need to find a few parties to wear it to!

My husband is going as Mrs. Potts. My mom bought a costume last year and never wore it - I suggested it to DH and he thought it would be funny - we'll see if he keeps his nerve.

So, my question is - what are you planning to be this year?

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

    Re: Halloween Costumes!

Well, for the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Hallowen Party at WDW we are all 4 going as pirates. We got really cute striped shirts at Target (the one I am wearing in my avatar) and are going to wear striped socks with torn up gauchos. I am also going to paint a mustache on and may buy a fake beard.

I will probbly wear the same thing to the big Halloween Party I go to every year.

Last year for Mickey's Halloween Treat I was Cinderella and I may do the same this year. Here is a pic of my friends and I.

    Re: Halloween Costumes!

My husband purchased the adult Tigger costume for me years ago and forces me to wear it every Halloween. We found some fuzzy animal paw slippers that I wear with it so I have "feet" and he draws whiskers on me to complete the look. I generally dress up for the costume contest they have every year for our junior hockey league (we are season ticket holders) and you would not believe the responses I get from people! There are a lot of strangers yelling "TIGGER!" and kids want a hug. It is a lot of fun to be a celebrity for the day

Here is a photo of me with one of our friends dressed as Jack Sparrow a few years ago.

Here is a full body photo so you can see my "paws"

Traditionally I've gone as a knight (I have a suit of armor that I used to wear in the SCA), or in my ren faire garb, but this year I'm going to go as something that I've been tinking with for years. I'm dressing like a Oompa Lumpa (the classic style with green hair, orange skin, painters overhauls, etc). A 6'3" Oompa Lumpa to be exact.

    Growing up is however, optional

What a great idea, you SO have to post photos if you go through with this!

I'll have someone videotape me in it, along with singing the Oompa Lumpa song (what do you get when you gobble down sweets, eating as much as a elephant eats....)

When I take my daughter trick-or-treating I might dress up in my Little Red Riding Hood costume. She's dressing as a pirate girl this year.

Okay, I remember my costumes in this order:

    Pocahauntus
    Ballerina
    Butterfly

    2002 Belle
    2003 Some Vampire Lady
    2004 ????
    2005 Phantom-ess of the Opera

I never remember anything. But this year, I will be a 50's girl.

I'm planning a full Dr. Evil costume with Mr. Bigglesworth. I figure I can wear it to both work and Mickeys Halloween party.

So the girls are going to be Aurora (pink dress) and Ariel (Mint green dress from the Ariels Grotto). Luckily they have an Aunt that sews, um I mean Bipity bopity boos their costumes.

They also have an Aunt that is sewing the redhead dress from POTC and making her husband the auctioneer costume.
