Re: Should I be worried? (Job Interview)

    Update:

I received an email back from the VP. Very bizarre but very promising, I'll let you know how it pans out.

Re: Should I be worried? (Job Interview)

    UPDATE!!

I had an interview this morning with my future potential boss. I believe it went VERY well, we had the same viewpoints on a lot of subjects and I spoke with him for over an hour.

I am very excited and he even apologized for the meeting with the VP last week (I didn't bring it up) about how I was "lucky" to get 10 minutes with him because the guy is apparently always busy and never has time. So that made me feel a little better.

So he said he would like to wrap it up by the weekend but he was meeting with the VP at 11 to go over some things and I should hear something no later than Tuesday. He also apologizes and said he would do what he can to get back to me before the weekend because he's been on that side of the fence and knows what its like to sit and wait. I thought that was nice of him.

    So here's hoping.

You have his card. Send him a handwritten thank-you note, STAT. Just a few lines about what a pleasure it was meeting with him, how excited you are about what the company's doing, or what the position does, and say how much you look forward to working with him in the future. No more than a paragraph, total. Get a nice, blank notecard, preferably something with a boat on it, or one of those slick businesslike ones. Nothing too cutesy or silly.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

It was good to read your follow up posting. I agree with Morigoon that a handwritten note be sent to him ASAP! He could have it in his hands tomorrow if you move quickly.

    All the best!

I will do that and drop it off tomorrow at lunch. Thanks for the help!
