I just called to say I love you

It is important to always remember- and always tell the people who matter that you love them.

In three days...we will have time to reflect, but we should remember every day.

Thanks for this Neph. I pray that no matter how many years pass, that we will never forget Sept 11th. No matter the race, religion, political stance, we truly came together as One Nation that day and in the days and weeks that followed.

It really bothers me that these types of sentiments come up right around this time of year, for a few weeks, and then disappear into nothingness as the year goes on. I mean, it's touching and definitely the anniversary of this tragic event is a time to reflect, but the cynic in me gets upset at seeing this type of thing for two weeks before, then a week after, then *poof* it's gone.

I am amazed anyone would be bothered by a nice rememberance. I don't think that these sentiments are any less sincere just because they only occur around the anniversary. It's like a death in the family, you can't mourn outwardly on a daily basis, it is too painful. Remembering the anniversary of a tragedy with these types of sentiments is to be expected, and then we continue to live our lives.
