Re: what are you currently reading??

it was good, I don't like the character of Liir too much, but what they did with the character's from the first book was excellent. I was very pleased. I actually like the darker tone the book had over the play in that it makes Elphaba a much more complex character knowing a little more about her past and the struggles she has to get through. And of course the ramifications and self strugles of what it means to be (or not) the "son of a witch" plus it had a superb ending.

    Go read it NOW!

Currently reading "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. Supposed to read it for my English class in college. It's interesting I suppose. I haven't really had a chance to really get into it yet. Working full time and going to school doesn't exactly leave you with a lot of free time during the week.

I will I will! Thanks for the teaser.

I agree the book did make Elphie more complex and perhaps "seeing" both made her more whole. But I liked the hope you got in the ending of the play for her and the scarecrow - the book was so sad in the end.

    Son of a Witch!
I don't want it to end
I'm trying to figure out how all the loose ends will be wrapped up.
I REALLY hope the ending doesn't suck

Um... I didn't read anything about it up there!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I just finished Eragon and Eldest. I'm not much into fantasy books - but I really enjoyed these.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger, and I think most are familiar with this story.
