On Friday Night my wife and I went to the neighborhood Walgreens to get her refill of prenatal vitamins. Outside the 'market' nextdoor we saw some guys spraying shaving cream on the windows of a car. My wife said, "They are vandalizing that car!" I said, "Nah - if they were vandalizing, they'd be getting it on the paint. It's probably a Congrats or a Happy Birthday Greeting."
So, we went through the Walgreens drive through and I said, "Honey let's go see what they wrote. Upon driving by the car, we were appalled. It was HATE. It was a gay hate crime with horrible things written and drawn on the car. We were shocked and didn't know what to do. I couldn't stick around for the police so I ended up going home.
I felt so horrible for the person that came out to find that on their car. I said a prayer for that person that night and the Saturday Morning when I woke up.......I was so hurt him. I don't know what prompted those guys to do what they did, but it was wrong.
Anyway, after a lot of thought, I called the store manager to tell them what we witnessed and that we have some physical description of the individuals who did this. Manager had no employees who reported this, although he did say he saw a mound of shaving cream in the parking lot the next morning.
Anyway, should I have called the police?
