    Limericks

    Thought it might be fun
When all is said and done
    To have a thread
    Where sense is dead
    And silly posts, everyone!

    So says myself to I,
Why yes, I think I'll try
    A limerick thread
    To clear our heads
It's your turn, let's see you try!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

There once was a young girl from Norway,
Who hung by her heels in the doorway.
She said, "Get off the couch,
    And don't be a slouch...
I think I've discovered one more way!"
"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

    There was a magical land
Where they have their own marching band
    They play and play
    And soon run away
As they went to a brand new land

    No it took five....

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.
    But his daughter, named Nan,
    Ran away with a man
And as for the bucket, Nantucket.

So whats the big deal with this Nantucket thing anyway.... I see nothing exciting here....

There was a young girl from Rabat,
    Who had triplets, Nat, Pat and Tat;
It was fun in the breeding,
    But h***, in the feeding,
When she found she had no t** for Tat.

Ok...here's my first try at one of my own...

    (ahem)

There once was a young lad named Tui,
Who thought all of Micechat was screwy.
    Revenge was his modus,
    He'd put you on notice,
But he doesn't scare us now, do he?

There's this place on the 'net called MiceChat
Where lots of Diznuts all hang out at.
    On Sundays each week
    They gather to meet
At the Hub in the Park, and that's that.

    Not bad for 5 minutes....
    Happy Anniversary, MiceChat!

    Re: Limericks

    Here's another one I found....

Said the Vicar to old Bishop Price,
My wife's just had twins, ain't that nice?
    But the Bishop said, "Father,
    in future I'd rather,
you abstained, or were not naughty twice."

And of course, who could forget:

There was a young lady named Kite
Whose speed was much faster than light.
    She left home one day
    In a relative way
And returned on the previous night.

    An elderly man called Keith
Mislaid his set of false teeth -
They'd been laid on a chair,
    He'd forgot they were there,
Sat down, and was bitten beneath.

This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.
