Sad Stomach flu... 14 years down the drain.

Nothing like bodily fluids coming out both ends at the same time. And a temp of 101.

I want my mommy.... or Mommy Karla.

Glad some of you are sympathetic. No one here but the cat to keep me company, but he's doing a great job.

I am getting some fluids in, finally. Hubby left me with ginger ale, which is tasting great about now, and trashy magazines, and of course my wireless computer so I can tell all my friends the gory details. Trust me. I'm leaving a lot out!

We're not being unsympathetic, just saying a simple "I've got the stomach flu and feel lousy" would have sufficed.

stick to clear liquids (its a diet we use in the hopsital). that means juices, clear sodas, jello, chicken or beef broth, gatorade and tea

tiny portions to begin with, increasing as you are able to keep them down.
if you can keep the clears down for at least 2 meal periods (approx 10 hours) then add some saltine crackers to your diet.

most important is to NOT rush getting back to solid foods, that's the mistake most people make unfortunantly.

    feel better!

Thanks for the professional help elly! Did not know that about the 10 hour period. Saltines are at the ready when I get to that point.
