    Why?

I got these forwarded to me in email..just thought I'd share. I don't read fowarded emails but this caught my eye.

    Why, Why, Why

do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?

Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle?

Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "Lisp"?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?"

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

    And my FAVORITE......

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

I thought I was the only one who pushed the remote harder instead of just replacing the batteries!

Yeah...and I'm guilty of returning to the fridge every 30 seconds in hope of new food materializing!

Why do we turn down the radio in our cars when searching for an address? I fall for most of those.

I'm with you both! It's like I think a little food fairy will go to the store for me and suddenly my fridge will be full of all my current cravings.

Or, when I close the door, the good stuff will get up and come to the front for me to find it.

See, I think I might have shocked the food the first time I opend the door. Too bright, they have to get used to it.

You must be my long lost twin then! I so to eat and unfortunately am VERY good at it! I can hold my own with most of the guys we hang out with and am only 5'2 so I have to really watch it or I get too "fluffy". Maybe it is a good thing that food fairy doesn't visit my fridge too often or I would keep her so busy her tiny wings would burn off!

PS - you do not look like you have any issues with food, you look BEAUTIFUL!

I have used that one in science class disputing evolution. The teacher was NOT impressed.

Shouldn't that read Main Street following a parade?

Well, thank you very much! Me too, that's one thing that JustJohn likes. He said he could never go out with someone that wasn't enthusiatic about their food. I just don't think he was aware of what he was in for.
Anyway, I think I may be your lost twin. I'm 5'2, sometime 5'3 depending on who's measuring me. I do get up to 5'5 (well, almost) when I wears my heels. Yep, I'm shorty.

I once had a friend that was about 5' and she probably weight about, God, 120. Holy spimoni, she could put JustJohn to shame. Actually, I think she did. He, and the rest of the group, was amazed. She got one of those wet burritos from Los Sanchez! Mammoth! She finished it!

Sorry, that was WAY off subject.
