I actually finished my Halloween costume!!!

With only 5 days to spare, I actually finally finished my Halloween costume! I'm so amazed and proud that I actually put it all together myself with a little help from the wonderful aerinpegadrack.

Now to get her costume finished and we are going to have such a blast at Mickey's Halloween Treat on Halloween Night, tuesday October 31st.

I'm so darn excited right now. I can't wait to be dancing the night away inside DCA!

No actually sewing. Although I did tear a children's skirt apart for the underskirt.

Let's see if I can name off what I used:

    - White collared undershirt, which I had in my wardrobe.
    - Black boddess, which I had in my wardrobe, although I had to tuck in the shoulder straps.
    - Grey long sleeved shirt with a mini turtle neck I tore out, purchased at Target.
    - Grey skirt was purchased at Goodwill.
    - The white frilly underskirt is part of a children's skirt I bought at Goodwill and cut off the actual pink skirt (I just needed the frilly underskirt).
    - Wicker basket purchased at Wal-Mart.
    - Black Headband purchased at Target.
    - Shawl made from purple fabric I bought from Wal-Mart (Which is really warm, might I add.)
    - Black mini-heeled shoes with a tiny bow I got from Payless. (I know she appears mostly barefoot, but I found official artwork where she wears shoes like these and I can't exactly walk into DCA barefoot although I probably will end up barefoot by the end of the night.)

With all those layers, it's darn comfortable and flowy and will keep me warm on this cold October night.

As for my rendition of 'I Wonder'... I can't sing too well and I can't go very high (My voice is too deeply rich), so when I sing it's more of a Jessica Rabbit-esque rendition. Which isn't bad, it's just... well... interesting.

Great work. It's a shame we don't see the Disney princesses in their (as Fraulien Maria would call them) play clothes more often.

What a great idea for a costume!!! You never see that outfit of hers, and it looks great on you!!!!
If I was going to a halloween party, i'd follow your steps and make that costume.

That looks so authentic Julie!!!! It's perfect! All you need is some rollers for the ends of your hair and you'll be a great Briar Rose!

Great job on the costume, it looks wonderfully accurate. I admit, I had no idea who it was until I checked back for a 3rd time and noticed the pic in your sig. Yeah, I'm slow.
