Question What are you (or the kids) going to be for Halloween?

We finalized our costumes this week, so I'm ready to share!

My eleven year old is going to be a Greek goddess. She looks way too mature and beautiful in this costume. Sigh.

My eight year old is going to be Batman. We got her the muscley costume with the light-up Bat signal. She hasn't taken it off in two days.

My five year old is a "forest fairy." It's a cute costume. Very girlie.

My husband and I are going to a huge naughty costume party on Saturday. Everyone goes as something a bit odd or sassy or downright nasty. The couple we're going with are Dr. Feeeelgood and Nurse Naughty.

My husband is going as Ron Burgundy from Anchorman. http://content.answers.com/main/cont...illFerrell.jpg We even found the red blazer and the bad hair.

I'm going as a naughty Mouseketeer. I bought a white tube top and I'll iron on my name on the front. I'll wear my daughter's ears, a little black skirt, fishnets and heels.

We got the last of our costume pieces today, so I was excited to share!

What are YOU doing for costumes?

My daughter is dressing up as a "gothic princess". Black dress, and I'm doing her makeup in a gothic type style (thank god I used to dress goth back in the day, so I know how!).

She is usually a princess every year, but this year decide she didn't want to be anything "cute". She insisted on something in black.

Both boys are going as Pirates. Their costumes are the Jack Sparrow looking ones they sold at the park and Disneyshopping.com. They look so cute! Hubby and I aren't dressing up.

Lil LL is going to be Jessie from Toy Story 2.

I'm dressing up as the Paris Hilton wannabe passenger from Snakes on a Plane for a party Saturday night. I bought a super short skirt with silver belt, strappy silver high heels (hooker heels), and a pink purse with a fake puppy in it. I haven't decided what shirt I'm going wear yet. I bought two snakes, one to go under my belt to look like it's going to bite my neck and the other to go in the purse with the puppy. I'm going to be creative with make up and put snake bites on my neck and arms.

Wow, weird. Amber is going as the same and it's her first eyar not being a "regular" princess! Although, I didn't think about the makeup so now I need to research that and hook her up properly. We got the black nail polish and lipstick.

Autumn is going as some sort of princess, not like a Disney princess but it's an old style dress, almost Renassaince style, I guess.

Ashlyn is going as a little cute witch. She only got it because they had the candy buckets shaped like cauldrons and she gets to wear a hat.

Which version of a forest fairy is she? We got Cait's at target. She was going to be Pirate Elizabeth Swan but we had some trouble with how detailed she wanted to make the costume and forgetting to take care of getting parts of it before we went to DL earlier this month. SO, since the pirate thing didn't work out, she started on a kick of being one of the females in Star Wars...then she saw the forest fairy costume at target and was torn. She LOVES fairies! So, we got her that one and talked about it more and after a quick trip to WalMart where we got some of the fall silk leaves with the gold on them to put in her hair and add to the costume, she was sold! I'll definitely take pictures...

As for Sawyer, well, he's 2 so he isn't exactly screaming about wanting to be anything for Halloween. We decided that since he is obsessed with the Planet Song from vintage Blues Clues that we would make him a solar system costume. I haven't started yet - and am almost thinking of making him a jungle cruise skipper instead. Every day since we've been back from DL he asks to go on the animal ride with the water and the elephants and the monkeys and the tiger and the zebras and the lions and the zebras and (you get the idea?)...
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

Re: What are you (or the kids) going to be for Halloween?

I'm joining the masses this year and wearing a pirate costume. My mom made it.

My son is going as Sora from Kingdom Hearts. It looks awesome. My mom made that one, too.

My mom is also making a costume for the son of a friend of my sister. He's 4. He wants to be a shovel-nosed ray. Pretty specific request, but she's doing it! I'll have to get a photo when that one is done for sure.

My husband, so far, has no costume. We have a costume party to attend on Sunday. Has he even thought about it? Of course not!
