Would you rather work for a male boss or a female boss and why?

I heard this question asked on the radio this morning.

I've worked for both and all have been pretty good except for maybe three and those three were all women so I guess I'd say a man if I were forced to choose.

But really, I'd rather work for a smart and fair and generous boss and the gender doesn't matter as long as the person has those three qualities!

Gender matters not. I just hate working for an idiot boss... male or female.

Neither. I'd rather be my boss. Wait... uhm, I'm male. Therefore, I guess I'm not neither...

I really could care less. Of all the qualities I find to be important in an employer, gender isn't one of them.

The only thing I care about is if they know how to be a boss (unlike my current one). This has happened to me with both male and female.

Every 28 days I'd wish I was working for a guy.

How spectacularly misogynistic! Your mother must be proud.

Ive had bosses of both genders and liked them all the same. I really wouldnt care. That kind of thing doesnt matter to me.

I have a woman boss now. I'd rather have a man boss.

Re: Would you rather work for a male boss or a female boss and why?

I've had male bosses all my working career, so have no real idea how working for a female boss would be different.

Although I have to say that the worst boss I have ever had was an attorney. He was spoiled and literally acted like a child when he didn't get his way - would even act that way with the other party in the lawsuit and then wonder why folks would leave his depositions. His way of being stressed me out so much that I actually wet my bed in my sleep and knew this was a sign to quit. The next day I went over there early in the morning, turned in all my key cards, left notes on what needed to be done and never heard from them again.

I should have known something was wrong when the parking lot attendants told me that office workers in his office go like a revolving door.

I really don't care, I just don't want an *** for a boss. The sex is unimportant. Fortunately, in my line of work, I see my boss maybe once every couple of years. Sometimes, if there's a change in managers, I don't even meet my new boss for a year or two. Sometimes they change and I never met the person who was my boss. Life is good that way.

Gender doesn't matter. What does matter is a sense of fairness.

Many of my previous bosses have been male, my last two (the current two) are both female and we get along just fine. I do my job, they do their job and all is well.

    Just MHO, YMMV

I've only had men for bosses but I work with many women who are heads of various departments They are outstanding.
