    Question Google positioning for move into radio

    From the article:

    Web search leader Google Inc. is hiring scores of radio sales people and is spending heavily in a bid to expand its position in the $20 billion radio industry.

    It seems to me that Google is making a mistake in moving out of their comfort zone.

    This, and the newspaper advertising announcement this week, baffles me. I hope they don't diversify to the point that they lose their strengths.

    That's exactly my thought. I know my company has sought to diversify themselves, but kept within reasonable bounds. I like Google as a whole, but this seems like a very poor choice to me.
