Exclamation Election results- what races are you following?

The big one in South Dakota is:

The Abortion Ban, is very close 53% against with 9% of precincts reporting. It looks like it might not pass, which would mean the current ban would remain in place.

Medical Marijuana looks like it will be defeated, though it is also at 53% against. Marriage definition looks like it will pass, though it is also at 53% right now.

So, what are the results on the big issues in your state? Any other close races you are keeping an eye on?

I was hoping to see Marijuana be legalized in a few states. Its the safest drug possible.

Theres only been 1 death from it, in 2004. The guy from Wales smoked 7 joints a day, everyday for 11 years!

Its also very relaxing i must say and good to hit up with a few friends.

    C'mon.

    Maybe next year.

My dad is flipping between so many channels, I cant even keep up. I just finally sat down after chasing my kids around the house so maybe now I can get up to speed.

I'm on my political boards watching all the results come up instantly. It's so nerve-racking. Tomorrow will either be a wonderful joyous day or a sad, depressing, desolate day.

Basically I'm watching CA-4, California in general, and the House and Senate.

I'm just interested in the WA ones. Especially the Senate and the Seattle area representative race. I'm sure Norm Dicks will win in my district, but I am curious how the Burner/Reichert battle will go.

I'm from Wa state so we'll get the next-to-last returns, but as a Dem I am delighted with the way this evening is going nationwide.

Why not legalize weed in Nedava. You can already drink while walking the streets and you can gamble freely.

It certainly will be interesting for us, but also all over, and for Republicans too. It seems as if the Democrats are ahead so far in the House, but the Senate is going to be REALLY close to call. Of course MSNBC called both Dem, and Fox called both Rep, but it will certainly be close. The race in my area, Doolittle/Brown is also close. With Doolittle tied to the Abramoff scandal, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. But also with the Governor race, Schwarzenegger/Angelides will also be really close.

Why do you want legalized weed everywhere Barfownz? Lol. I'm for it, I guess. Just in your home, maybe. I'm one of those in between really. I'm also one of those "Yes, but only if..." people.

Wow....VA Senate race may go into a recount with less than a 2000 vote margin with 99% precincts reporting in.

Wow. At this point, it needs one. Any recount that MAY be needed is certainly needed. A perfect victory if Dems took both the House AND Senate!!

Sorry barfownz . . . Legalized marijuana is getting beaten soundly in Nevada. You'll have to get high somewhere else.

The bond measures in California, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, and 84 are all currently winning. I really hope they don't all pass. That is one hell of a lot of irresponsible debt. This would be the total if they all pass:

    Code:
    PROP BOND 30-YEAR COST
    1B $ 19,925,000,000.00 $ 38,900,000,000.00
    1C $ 2,850,000,000.00 $ 6,100,000,000.00
    1D $ 10,416,000,000.00 $ 20,300,000,000.00
    1E $ 4,090,000,000.00 $ 8,000,000,000.00
    84 $ 5,388,000,000.00 $ 10,500,000,000.00
    TOTAL: $ 42,669,000,000.00 $ 83,800,000,000.00
42..7 billion in instant debt with a 30-year cost of 83.8 billion. Ugh.

    Oh man, WHAT a night

I am barely able to keep my eyes open this morning. Staying up until 3 am (EST) flipping back and forth with election coverage I am ready to drop!

    Ahhhhhhhh- FINALLY!

Montana Senate race is still too close to call. I stayed up way to late waiting to see what would happen and I'm still waiting.
