    Feeling sad and worried

This is my dog Dot. Yesterday my husband let her out in the yard without realizing that the gate was open. She took off and has been gone ever since. I have put posters up all over my neighborhood and called the Humane Society and Animal Control. I had one woman (who had seen one of my posters) call me and say that she saw a man with my dog and he was looking for her owner. I have posters up everywhere, I just can't figure out why he wouldn't call! I am just worried out of my mind. Every thime the phone rings I jump!

Anyway, just keep us in your thoughts. I will keep you posted.

    Re: Feeling sad and worried

I will be praying for your babys safe return . I am so sad when I hear these things, poor pups do not know the erea and are scared. I bet some nice person picked her up . My prayer is that they will return her to you as soon as possible. do you have a name tag and colar on her? moms dog got away, and she was frantic, I told her he needed a colar, she refused as she said all the time, my baby is never out in the yard long enough to get lost. well the dog did, but thank god my dad found her wandering around 4 miles away. she now has a colar on that dog with all needed info.

    Re: Feeling sad and worried

I found a list of Dogs and Cats that were found in Arizona. Two of the posters, since 11/8/06, said that they found small dogs. I don't know if it will help you, but it's worth a try:

She refuses to wear a collar. Since she was a puppy she would scratch any collar we put on her until it shredded. My other dog (who, by the way, also went out when the gate was open but stayed close) has a collar and ID, but not Dot.

I am just going crazy. Another person called today and told us that they saw a man with her yesterday. I just wish he would call!

I called the shelters again today and put up more fliers around the neighborhood.. I just want her back!

    Re: Feeling sad and worried

The next person who calls you and mentions that they saw this man, you need to get very detailed in fo from the, like how tall was he, skin color, weight, hair style, if he has facial hair, what he was wearing, what he was driving, where he was spotted, what direction he was heading in, etc.

If you get that info, you would probably have an easier time searching in those specific areas people saw him around and thought he was heading to.
