Re: Do you watch the Macy's Parade?

    Every year! It's tradition!
and Josh Kelley sang this year! Aww!

No words, My tears won't make any room for more,
And it don't hurt, like anything I've ever felt before, this is
    No broken heart,
    No familiar scars,
    This territory goes uncharted...

Re: Do you watch the Macy's Parade?

I used to when I was a kid. Now I'm usually asleep when it's on and am just getting up when it's almost done. I'm just not a parade person anymore.

Re: Do you watch the Macy's Parade?

I watch the parade every year but not the entire thing. Why? Because most of the musical performances don't interest me at all. That's when I flip to something else for 30 seconds. However I was impressed to see a performance from Dalene Love. She is currently starring in Hairspray on Broadway. Back in the early 1960's Darlene Love recorded music with Phil Spector and you can always hear her sing this time of year but you don't realize it. The Phil Spector Christmas Album is a classic. Unlike man y artists from the time period, Darlene still has it. Be sure to check her out on Letterman next month when she will be performing the classic "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)". It's a must-see.

Darlene Love's performance in the Macy's Parade was bittersweet though. She is playing a character that was performed by Rhythm & Blues legend and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Ruth Brown when Hairspray first came out. Ruth Brown passed away a week-and a half ago. She will definitely be missed. I was quite unhappy to see that NBC didn't take the time to note that for everyone at home.
