Trip photos from Italy and Spain

Just got back from a five city trip to select countries in Europe. Unlike the trip I took over six months ago, where we visited the Winter Olympics, and three other countries (Switzerland, France, and the UK, plus Italy), this was limited to Spain and Italy. Some photos from earlier this week appear below, first, from Venice Italy:

And of course Venice is known for Venetian Glass, so here's some of the current offerings in store windows:

And here I thought you were slaving away night and day over some horrible case! And you go galavanting off to Europe!

    I picked the wrong profession, didn't I?

    Welcome back, Froggy!

(Great shots. I love the one of you and your wife in front of one of the canals. I'm not jealous. Really.)

Wow! What great photos! And here we were worrying, "What's up with Frogberto?"

Glad the milk cartons made it all the way to Europe...

And did you have any "difficulties" with flying European purses?

I've only been to Italy once and I'm still "homesick" for it, if that is even possible! Great photos!

Continuing on to the next city, here are pictures from Florence, Italy, birth of the Renaissance, and a place where I developed a photographic obsession with the ornate doors and doorknobs I saw everywhere:

And before Florence, we were in Rome, where we saw Ancient Roman sites, including the Colloseum and Forum, and the Vatican:

Re: Trip photos from Italy and Spain

While in Spain, we visited the ancient Roman town of Segovia, where there is still a roman aqueduct standing in the town. The Moors (Muslims) also occupied this town for over 500 years, and did substantial building in the moorish style, before Christian Spaniards have made it theirs for the last 1000 years or so...

And in this town, finally a Disney connection -- the town's residents kept saying that this fortress and castle served as the model for Walt Disney when he did his first full length animated feature, Snow White - he modeled the Evil Queen's castle on this real castle:

Hey Frogberto, how'd you get such a great picture of The Pieta at the Vatican? Did they take down the bulletproof glass?
