Question about Ace Rent-a-Car @ LAX

Was wondering if anyone has ever used Ace Rent-a-Car and what was your experience like. Thanks for any info.

Here is a tip with renting a car period...........

Get your insurance through your house insuranceor your own car insurance it cost us $15 per year and saves us about $150.00 or more depending on what we rent and for how long we rent it.....
They always try to scare us into buying theirs..... check out how much yours covers...
    Yes, it is fast....

    No, you can't drive IT.

    Drive it like it's stolen.

This isn't the first time we have rented a car, was just courious if anyone has rented from Ace before, we usually rent from the major companies but saw them on Orbitz and they are a lot less expensive then everyone else. But thanks for the tip.

I see those "bargain" prices and wonder too, but I usually just go with National. I have an "emerald aisle" membership and it's so convenient; just hop in the car and show your membership and license at the booth. No lines, no forms, nada. The rates aren't that much more anyway. Also I love the fact that there is a selection of cars and I get to pick my own. Sometimes they have fun ones thrown in too (once in Orlando I got a Jeep Wrangler). National rules!

If you want to get a great car and ususally a good deal, I would goto Enterprise , very competitive. In regards to getting the "optional" protection, I would rather spend the couple of dollars it costs rather than them taking my deductible and making a claim against my insurance company.

That would be fine if it was just a couple of dollars......however it is hundreds .......... whats the point of spending hundreds of extra dollars when your own insurance will cover it for $15 and we dont plan on being in an accident.... plus our deductible is the same as what it would cost us for insurance.

no one plans on being in an accident, thats why they are called accidents. But look at it this way...say you have the car for a week and you get the damage waiver @ 8.99/day ($63), your driving a 300M ($30K car), you give it to the valet, or you park it in a garage and it gets backed in to, or your on the freeway and a golfball goes thru the window, or someone who has no insurance hits you & you don't have uninsured motorists coverage on your policy.....I would rather pay the $63 dollars and walk away ...no questions asked, then pay my $1000 deductible, have a claim against my insurance company and have my rates go up 10% for a car that is not even mine
