Snowboarding/Ski

Beside Disney, one of my passions is snowboarding. Started skiing before I can remember at Bear Valley Mt. Reba(and the mandatory cross skiing trips with the family) and in high school made the transformation to snowboarding...and it stuck. I live close enough for Tahoe to be considered a day trip, but as most know the Sierra-Cement is not the greatest.
In the past 10 years I have been traveling to destinations around the world trying to find that perfect day.

I love boarding.
I also just found out that my aunts boyfriend owns a condo in Big Bear that he rents out for $500 for the weekend which includes lift tickets. So, Im trying to get together a couple of people to go. Unfortunately none of my friends board

that's funny. Most of my close friends hate the snow. I love my girlfriend but she's not very good.

So far, this winter I have a 10 day Colorado trip planned with some Aussie friends I met in Switzerland a couple years ago. They came out and we boarded Utah last winter...BEST powder ever.
Also going to Killington Vermont in January. My folks have a place in the middle of no-where, VT but close enough to the slopes out there.
Plus the Lake Tahoe weekends.

$500 for a weekend with tickets doesn't sounds like a bad deal. Go up there with the aunt and boyfriend and it might be a better deal.

But Vegas has all the top ski resorts.

went ice skating in Central Park last year. My gf is so good and I felt like such a doofis....but caught on pretty quick.

My aunt would never go. NEVER. Im not that great either, but I try and I have fun at it, even if I fall.
When I married my kids dad, we honeymooned in Mammoth. Best time Ive ever had there. Not busy at all (was in the middle of march) and all powder.

It only matters that you are on the mountain. I have never put my board in the park....I only search for unique lines down the mountain and seach out powder. I'm getting too old to hit the half-pipe.

Im too scared to even try. Ive hurt myself bad enough from boarding regularly, I dont want to take the chances on making it worse.
You really need to get to Mammoth.

Happened to be there during the Sundance Film festival and every shop had pic's of the celebrities that bought coffee at their store. The best part was big name bands playing small venues. I wish we could have scored ticket sot Beastie Boys or others.

Park City Resort even had a decent night skiing run. Longer than i thought.

Can't wait to get back to Park City. Many resorts I would love to ride...except Alta wont let me. Did 2 days at Park City, 2 days at The Canyons and 2 days at Snowbird(my favorite).

As most people know, Lake Tahoe has some of the most beautiful terrain around. It's impossible to ride down the mountains without sitting down and take in what's around you.
Living in the Bay Area I have been to Tahoe hundreds of times and consider it a second home. with over 13 ski resorts around the lake its easy to find a resort that suits you.
Here a couple pis of Heavenly on the south shore. Enjoy.

I really want to go to Heavenly.
2 months before my ex and I got married, he went to Tahoe with some of his friends for a bachelor party and to board, when he got home and told me how it was, I was soooo jealous.
