New Year's Eve on the west Coast

Hello Gang!

This post is especially for those of you out West. I remember a long time ago in 1991 I think, I spent Christmas vacation out in Washington State with my Grandparents. I was hoping that somewhere on TV the Ball drop on NYE would be shown live. Not even CNN had a feed over there probably since that hadn't been done yet.

Now in this day in age, NYE must be quite convenient for parents with young kids out on the Pacific coast. While you have to wait on Network TV until Midnight local time for the Ball drop etc, you can watch the news channels bring it to you live at 9 PM local time. Then the kiddies can go to bed. Does anyone do this with their young kids?
