#3804, join date 10/05/05 - which means I was one of those annoying lurkers for quite some time, but had to have found something worth posting about that day.
This thread is full of great things to say about the Micechat community - how it seems so much better than other "places" out there, how it is very welcoming, how it is a family...and well, Yeah. Count me in for all of that. MiceChat is just one of those unexplainable things. You either get it or you don't and I'm happy to say that I get it (and thanks to Dusty, now I can try to put words to it.)
Happy Birthday MiceChat!!
My first meet was 10/8/06 (woah - it was a really big meet for my anniversary!! ) followed by another that Thursday evening and another on 10/15...my next meet...not soon enough, in fact, I don't KNOW when it will be. And that makes me sad.
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

MM and Dusty... Thanks you for all your hard work! I'm so happy to be a part of MiceChat and glad that I was around to experience all those milestones.

I think I was the first non-admin to join MC. Scratch that, I techincally come in second.

So many friendships made because of the connections here on MiceChat. Thank you to everyone who has offered up their own time and talents to make MiceChat such an amazing succes. A special thank you to Dusty and MM for letting me be a part of the team.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.
And perhaps WilderDane's sig line will give you some idea of who he may be. The rest of the clue is already in this thread. Although due to a secret pact with the circle of ancients, we will never be able to confirm or deny his actual identity.
In darkness I came and brought a spark. My twin brought the kindling. The youngling brought knowledge.
I've known the Dusty one and many others on MC for many years now- I've been blessed, stressed, loved and loathed but I have never found anywhere else I can call home as much as the home Dusty and MM provided.
The hard work put into this place make it unique and very very special. I have met some of my best friends here-and cemented older friendships into very special relationships.
Much love to all of you- and a special hug and to Dusty- he knows why.

I remember how when I first joined MiceChat I had recently gotten back from visiting Disneyland in January of 2005 during so much rain and with so many attractions/shows down for rehab before the 50th. I didn't exactly keep myself up to date but I was eager to see the pictures in Al's next update.... whenever it was going to come since I had seen it all myself. Eventually I found the pictures and the article online, along with a link to the "MiceChat" place. I was not a member of any other Disney community at the time and the idea was quite new to me. I figured why not and I then became member #548. It took me about a month to acquire 25 posts and the conversations on the boards would go so "slow" and at a pace much more relaxing than the fast pace that it does with 11,000+ members.
After my first MiceChat meet July 14, 2005, and the entire weekend of meets over Disneyland's 50th I knew that this was a great community to be a part of. During the fall of 2005 I tried my best to meet as many Florida MiceChatters along with those visiting. I even met yoyoflamingo, who is now my boyfriend at one of those meets I set up. I met the wonderful dramaqueen, TinkPink, and Tui who visited me at The Disney Store in Minnesota, BigDaddyKyle at a Cracker Barrel as I was driving through his home town, met Ron10036 in NYC, and had a Chicken follow me around. I even got to party it up with some wonderful MiceChatters for my Christmas Eve of 2005 (WitchesOfMorva + Company) and see so many of you on the east coast for the "WDW MC Invasion 2005." Now, about a year and a half since Virtual Magic Kingdom (VMK) began I continue to meet and play with MiceChatters in that game as well.
I know I'm getting quite nostalgic as I look back on my past two years on MiceChat, but a lot of me has grown along with it. MiceChat is a more than just an online message board - it's a wonderful community that I am grateful to be a part of. I hope to meet many more of you real soon and to make even more MiceChat friends. Thanks for the laughs, the information, the controversy, the , the hugs, support, and most of all - your friendship.
Happy Birthday MC! You're now in the "terrible 2's"
I thought you just YAGED!
One you've done the elephant man, it's a done deal.
On a more serious note, thanks for the great imagery, Dusty. I keep telling myself I can quit Micechat at any time, but whenever my DSL goes down, I go through rather violent withdrawls. Not quite as bad as Pengy or Disneylandmom with their 30,000 posts, but certainly enough for the authorities to be concerned. My first avatar, my first post online, my first trip to photobucket, and my first attempt at photoshop were all on Micechat.
