    Snow in Southern California!

As I was about to hit the snooze button for the last time, I paused to listen to the news report. After talking about CHP escorts in the Cajon Pass, they mentioned that there was also snow in Redlands and Grand Terrace. I leaped out of bed to see if it was snowing here in Moreno Valley. It is!

The last time it snowed was our first winter back in California after living in Colorado. It was completely surreal. I had to keep reminding myself that I was in California NOT Colorado.

I will try to get some pictures posted when there is a little more light. The mountains that are close to our house are covered with clouds, so I assume they will have snow on them once the clouds lift.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

If we got any it melted. We usually get snow in february or march. We get the best kind. It looks pretty and the melts. So we don't have to deal with it for days...

It hasn't snowed in Redlands in a looooooong time! We'll take anything we can get here in SoCal as we're smack dab in the middle of another stupid drought.

You can have it all! To what address would you like it sent ?

I used to say there is only one thing I dislike more than cold, and that is wet and cold! how wrong I was, now I have wet and cold and snow!

What next? Oh yes, wind is in the forecast, so maybe we'll have wet and cold and snow and wind! Wonderful!

Ever try going across campus in the wet and cold and snow and wind uphill on an ECV? Oh, yes, and we're doing major construction on campus. Try finding your way around that. What was open yesterday is closed today! Well, we have faculty flex day today, guess where I'll be?

But, I'm not at all upset. (note to self: deep breaths, breathe in, brreathe out... ummmmmmm)

    Take it! Take it all!

    Just MHO, YMMV

My co-worker said that it snowed for most of her way in on the 10 freeway from Riverside to Glendora. I heard it was snowing near the Ontario airport even!!! Supposed to be cold again tonight!

I am waiting for all the "You Californians are so spoiled, complaining that it is freezing when it is 30 degrees! It is ____ where I live."

    Re: Snow in Southern California!

Well I was hoping for some snow here in Lake Forest, but no dice. I read Rancho Santa Margarita was going to be down to 30 last night, but I guess we were a couple degrees up

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Ah ha! You beat me to it.

Yup, I was greeted with snow as I awoke at 6am this morning. I also got some shots. My kid was in AWE of the white stuff coming down from the heavens and it was coming down in SHEETS! I live in Rancho Cucamonga/Rialto.

    Some pictures....

    Outside my window...

    My front lawn....

Back porch patio furniture...yeah...probably should have covered those cloth chairs!

My car.....it's so pretty all covered in white!

    My front lawn...

These are at the 15 frwy North at Sierra.

Down the 210 frwy where the 15 and the 210 meet....

What my car told me the temp was...outside!

Fun times and really cold I arrived at my job in Pomona with snow still on my car.
