A Mental Health Day! Anyone with me?

I need a mental health day, every person I interacted with today was rude, condescending and showed complete lack of respect and that includes a manager on the WDW Reservations line!

I called to find out if there was any other way we could prove that my honey is a resident because he just hasn't changed over his license since he moved down here and I bought him a FL resident Seasonal pass. (I know, its been over a year now, don't ask, I gave up pushing that one a long time ago.)

So I call the WDW reservations line and the girl that answered was nice at first but she acted like she wasn't sure and the conversation went like this:

Me: Hi there! I just bought my boyfriend a FL Seasonal pass and he hasn't gotten his DL changed since he moved down last year. Is there any other documentation that he can bring with him to prove he lives here like a rental agreement or a utility bill?

Girl: Hmm, I am not sure, I thought you could only use a FL resident ID in order to get the pass.

Me: Is there anyone we can ask for sure as I don't want to get all the way over there tomorrow and be turned away.

Girl: (rudely)Oh you need a FL resident ID and nothing else BUT I'LL TRANSFER YOU TO SOMEONE WHO CAN ASSIST YOU.

(She really started to yell like if she spoke louder I would understand her better or something. Hello woman, I'm not a moron.)

Me: Thank you kindly.

(pause)

Girl: Ok, Latoya will be assisting you at this time and thank you..(click)

Latoya: Hello Ms. ***** it's my understanding that you had some questions regarding the FL resident AP.

Me: Hi there, I was wondering if there was any other documentation that we could bring to prove that my boyfriend is a Florida resident.

Latoya: Sure! A FL ID.

Me: Yes, I understand that part but as we want to go tomorrow I was wondering if there was anything else you could use instead?

Latoya: Yes Ma'am(<--hate this) A Florida Resident driver's license, you know, the one you can get at the DMV?

Me: Grrr... Obviously you are avoiding my question, a simple no would have been acceptable, thank you for your time.

Latoya: Have a magical day Ma'am.

I would have been perfectly fine if she just would have said simply, "No."

Honestly, I have been running into this all day. Anyone else have days like this, like the whole world basically wants to tell you where to shove it?

Thank you for letting me vent.

It's been like that all week for us. We joke that a major psychic wave just coursed through the universe and affected everyone because it has been non-stop!

I have a story that happened a few weeks ago to share. I'll cliff notes it.

We had a problem with a laptop. We sent it through our service plan contract at Best Buy to be repaired. They repaired original problem but caused another. Sent it back 3 times, never fixed the problem THEY caused. We request a junk out credit per the contract and a $200 upgrade for the inconvenience. Eventually, they agree. (That was the long part)

However, upon picking up the computer replacement, we find that they are giving us trouble because we had a manufacturer rebate so they want to make us pay an additional $300. The contract does not state anything about such matters. It states the original purchase price shall be credited. The manager who was helping us got his manager. Here's how it goes:

Her: "Look, I'm going to put this in terms you will understand. You bought a computer for $1100 and got a rebate for $300, so what did you pay for the computer?"

Bryan: "$1100."

Her: "NOO! Look, I don't have to be doing this for you! We are simply doing this out of the kindness of our hear--"

Bryan: "Then YOU will be in violation of your contract as stated and then you'll really have a lawsuit on your hands!"

Her: "Oh?? Is that the way it's going to be?? Let's take this out side! Is that the course of action you want to take??"

Me: "Do YOU think that's the course of action Best Buy would want YOU to take?"

At this point HER manager steps in and gives us the upgrade for $50.00. Guess he didn't want a chick fight in his store!

BTW, I'm all for a mental health day!

So it's not just me then, I don't know if that makes me feel better. LOL Is there a full moon or something? People have been very loco the past few weeks!

Summer, do you have those check writing places that cash checks for you? if you do you can get an instant ID. I think its time philip gets a drivers licence sorry for the troubles, when i movied to wyoming I had to have an ID to cash checks, so I went to the check writing place and they took my pic, and I got the id in 10 minutes. I still have it 13 years later

Yup! She was doing the whole head bobbing thing and was reaching for her earrings to take them off, too!

I think there was one recently. Last time I saw the moon a few days ago it was almost full! And it is very true that a full moon affects people!

Did you go down today? How did it go?

I understnad that, but after one year in florida, one needs a new drivers licence.
when i movied to wyoming i had 3 months to change my licence plates, and to get my licence in that state. I think if your in the state for a set period of time you need to get a new licence.

Yep, it's 30 days. He's going to get it changed on Friday, as far as today, I went alone.

I feel much better now.

If you got a rebate, you didn't pay $1100 dollars for the computer. Unless you want to give that $300 back. I hate to say it, but Best Buy was in the right in that regard.

We know that.

The contract does not state that and we wanted something that stated it. And that's what we were getting to when she got all jumpy on us.

Worked to our advantage that she was all feisty, eh?
