DP I like your style. We had a great time camping last time, well actually it was our first time. You could tell we were the total rookies. We were in Santa Cruz about 2 miles away from my in-laws house. Every time we needed something we just called them. They brought over a BBQ, fire wood, matches (duh), camping chairs, and more blankets. And every day we went to their house to shower. Hopefully by next time we will be slightly more prepared.
"You can't judge a book by its cover."
"No, but you can tell how much it is going to cost."
Okay, would that not totally rock? Micechatters group camping! It would have to be planned ahead of time though, in order to guarantee campground for everyone.
OMG.... check this out: themed campsite decorations! We could take photos and have someone post them on MC to vote a winner!
Totally. And, we can book the site around February for just about any weekend in the summer. I believe it's about $500 for the whole site for Friday-Sunday. It's got 2 huge firepits, grills, potties, running water, and it'd be all ours. It's Bandido group campground just north on the 2. Very easy to get to, and a beautiful site. I've attended many private events there.
And at $500, if we had 100 people, then it'd be $5 each for the whole weekend. Heck, even at 50 people, that's a darn good deal.
We could have scheduled arts & crafts, music, etc., all themed to Disney. And even a "Nature's Hidden Mickey" scavenger hunt contest, where people could go and photograph as many naturally occuring Mickeys as possible. Oooh, and even a trivia competition!!!
