    This is really weird!!!!

    The other night my hubby and I went to the movie theater here in Scotts Valley to see a 9:45 pm show. We were like 5 minutes late but we figured oh well, we'll just miss the previews. Right when we walked up to the ticket window, the girl working there pulled the slider down and walked away so we opened the front door and asked the manager who was standing there if we could just come inside and buy the tickets at the concession counter where they sometimes sell them. He's normally a really friendly guy, but he got this kind of mean look on his face and said no, the theater was closed. We walked away saying to each other "That was really strange!"

    Well today, we found out that the theater was getting robbed at gunpoint at 9:45 pm! And now that I think about it some more , I did see the manager taking lots of money out of the drawer and talking to someone at the counter. I have to wonder if that was the robber and that was why the manager seemed kind of grouchy and turned us away!

    I sure hope they catch the robber!!!

    Holy crap! I'm so happy you are ok, and I hope no one else was harmed.

    Hopefully they will get some counselors out to meet with the staff and process what happened with them, so they can put it behind them.

    This is a great reminder to always trust your instincts, it sounds like your sixth sense was telling you something was fishy.

    Glad it worked out and you guys are safe.

    I was very calm during the robbery, after he left was another story, my voice was calm, but (i smoked back then) my hands were shaking so bad I could barely light the cigarette. This happened while I was at work. I had to keep my pregnant co-worker calm as well as the customer who walked up while I was being held with the gun on me. My co-worker was hyperventilating and the customer started to freak out. Someone had to stay calm.

    Buttercup, If i was you in that situation, and i knew who the robber was, I'd take my chances to tackles his buttocks to the ground.
