    Re: $79 Million

I will assume it's a $79 Million lottery (Since the current powerball lottery is about that much)

After lump sum payout minus taxes I should be end up with something like $29,000,000 in my pocket.

Let's take two million off the top for instant gratification (travel, fast car, electronic junk, etc...) and legal fees. That leaves $27,000,000

I've read that with safe investments (ie CD's) it takes around $250,000 to earn $1,000.00 /month in income.

So that would work out to around $108,000 a month in interest. I'll use 20% of that to re-invest so that the principal can grow at least equal to inflation. That leaves $86,000 a month. My wife and I could probably manage to squeak by on just $40,000 a month. The remaining $46,000 I'd distribute to our extended family and various charities. Oh and pocky. I'd buy lots and lots of pocky!

This is not life changing money, this is generation changing money.
    and if 03 22 26 53 54 [17] hits on Friday, then it's all mine!

    Rigatoni Capanola from Carrabas
Cheese Enchilada from El Tecolate (local mexican restaurant)
    Double Double
    McDonalds Fries
    Steak (I'd cook this myself)
PB&J with Milk (good one TGEL)
Cheddar Cheese Soup from Canada Pavilion at Epcot
Garlic Bread from Buca Di Beppo (with Balsamic Vinegar on the side)
    Grilled Shrimp
    12 pack of Bass Ale

And to top it off: Desert from 'Ohana.

Hey, I'm gonna die anyway, might as well be from a heart attack.

What Kind of Socks do You Wear?

    No show?
    Ankle/quarter socks
Tube Socks that go up to your knees
(sort of like Captain Stubing from "The Love Boat")

Not sure why I start this thread, but it's something that is lighthearted! So, post away!

Now that it's warm I wear my sandals. It's rare when I put on socks from March-September.

The remaining months I use hanes crew cut.
