Chicken Pox?

YIKES! Chicken pox are way worse when you're an adult. Neither of my kids have had them yet (they are 6 and 4). I hope they get them sooner rather than later.

Did they get vaccinated, if so they may never get them. DD was vaccinated and was exposed to the (without us knowning) and never got them thankfully.

Yes I had the chicken pox when I was three or four. It was 1986. I remember being upset because that was the year Song of The South was re-released in theaters and I couldn't go since I had the dreaded chicken pox. Never had another chance to see it and probably never will again.

My sister and I both had them twice.

1st time when I was very young, second time at about 12 or 13.

I had them the same time that my children had them. We'd been exposed at the same time. The kids were 4 and 2 -- I was 29. The kids had them REALLY bad, I had 6 spots. Yes, only 6. As soon as I showed symptoms, the doctor prescribed Zovirax, which I had to take 5 times a day. It helped! Because of my severe brittle diabetes, they really didn't want me to have the virus. BTW, chicken pox is related to one of the viruses that causes herpes -- that's why the Zovirax helps.

i got the chicken pox when i was 22yrs. old from my boyfriends god son!!

Never had them, but my younger brother did. There was an outbreak of chicken pox a few years ago where I lived, but I never got them then either.

I spent the night with my next door neighbor...her granddaughters were stayin with her...the next day, their mom called mine and said one of them had chicken pox.

I had a very mild case...just a few spots...still remember bathing in that oatmeal stuff. Doctor said I can get it again. Hubby had it REAL bad..says he even had them in his mouth.
