    Forgotten Grocery Lists?

I was looking for a generic grocery list for tonights shopping when I stumbled upon this website..

    http://www.grocerylists.org/

Apparently these people collect forgotten lists left by people in their carts and they actually have a Top 10 list of the funniest and most interesting they have ever found!

Makes me think about how I word things on my list the next time I write it.

    Re: Forgotten Grocery Lists?

My husband and I put things down on the grocery list for another. Things like Pepto, Aspercreme, Preparation H, condoms, etc. as a joke.

So when we saw that book was being written a few years back, we made sure to start leaving our lists out in the open and on the checkstand. That book's been in the works forever, I'll be happy to see it out soon!!

This is hilarious! And you know what? I saw an abandoned list at the grocery store in the produce section not a week ago.

    Cool Re: Forgotten Grocery Lists?

When I was a little kid, my mother always kept a grocery list going on those spiral bound, green-tinted, lined 5 x 8inch note pads - you know, the ones with the pink stripe down the center of the page? Anyway, it was always sitting on the kitchen counter, and I would always try, in my neatest handwriting, to add what I wanted at the bottom of the page, thinking that she would just read it and put it in the cart - as though she had written / needed it... years later, I asked her why she never mentioned it to me: "Oh, I forgot that you used to do that! It never failed to crack me up..."

    mayonnaise
    lunch meat
    spaghetti sauce
    onions
    lettuce
    apples
    apple sauce
    Froot Loops
    Captain Crunch
    ground round
    paper towels
    toilet paper
    toys

The thing that comes into mind is the peanut butter and jelly that comes together in one jar... But who knows!

    Re: Forgotten Grocery Lists?

That's funny!!! I tend to put lots of needed things on my grocery list and some of those probably look a little odd.

Then again, I've gone in for just a few things and wind up with something like a bottle of wine, a bag of diapers, and and dog food.
