Anyone ever been? We're heading there in a couple of hours and I wondered if anyone here on MiceChat has been there before. It's a beautiful place.....

I've been there a few times, the grounds are really pretty. Especially the Japanese Garden.

Wonderful settings, potential for a nice romantic day with someone special.

Check into the Tea Room, it fills up quickly, but it is a nice place to eat. Maybe more pricey than your standard fare, but worth it IMHO.

    Have a great day.

It's a beautiful place. We did an excursion with a group of friends there last year and had a wonderful day.

I've been to the Huntington Library in Pasadena not San Marino. Are they the same? I've only been there once. I had to go to H . Library and write up a paper while I was in college.

I would like to go back and just visit one of these days.

It's really pretty and a great place to take lots of pictures. They also have a great tea house that my best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed.

It's too late for you but it's one of the first places I went to when I moved here, and I just fell for it. I hardly ever go, but in a month I'm doing the tea there. I can't wait! Hope you had a great day!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I loved the grounds but the tea room didn't really impress me. I'm dying to get back and look at the books though.

The Huntington Library is in San Marino. You may be thinking of the Norton Simon Museum, which is in Pasadena.

I used to live in San Marino from 1968 - 1972 before moving to Orange County in 1972.

I believe that the Huntington Mansion is currently under renovation and retrofitting, but from what I understand Blue Boy and Pinky are in a temporary gallery.

My friends and I used to go to the Huntington Library at least one weekend a month. I grew up near there. Such a beautiful place. I recommend it to anyone!

My friends and I used to go a lot once we started driving! It was a great escape and a nice place to take our various reading assignments and just sit, hang out and study.
