Very early Friday morning I woke up to head to glorious LAX to board a plane that would take me to Colorado for the weekend.
Since I had been awake since Thursday morning around 6am, I thought Id get to take a nap, but no! My boyfriend had other ideas. He wanted to take me to Red Rocks.
There are a bunch of trails you can go on, which we did for about 20 minutes before I told him I was way too tired for that. He then suggested we walk back to the bottom of the ampatheater and go there.
Theres the stage
And a view from the top. Let me tell you, my legs were screaming at me by the time we got to the top. We went in the little visitors center there and saw that they had a little restaurant there, so we sat down to have a bite.
After what felt like the longest walk back to the car, we headed back to Denver, only to find this little gem on the side of the road:
I cant remember the name of the place, but it was a place that gave out maps of where to find dinosaur bones in the area. It was so cheesy and I loved every second of it. There were several more stegosaurus' that were painted all weird, but my camera died
We returned home where we cleaned up to go to dinner
After dinner, we drove home and I FINALLY got to go to sleep
Saturday: Today was my boyfriends bands big show. They were playing the Jagermeister show in Denver with Stone Sour, Shadows Fall and Lacuna Coil.
After helping him get stuff together, and the rest of the band arrived, we headed to the venue. There, I got my media pass as I was taking the pictures for his band that night
They did so great. The show was awesome, and every single person we talked to that night was beyond nice.
Getting home at about midnight, we were all pooped and went right to bed.
Sunday: We headed to my boyfriends friends house in Evergreen for a BBQ as he was leaving for the Army on the 1st (today).
The view from the side of the house with the pond:
Monday: Time to fly home. I was so not ready to leave.
Colorado was perfect this time I was there. Green with very very little snow anywhere (at least where we were)
The view I hate most from the plane:
