Exactly. Any excuse to party works for me.

I have no plans, but maybe I'll make some yummy mexican food. Or we could go to my fav mexican restaurant! I have been wanting to go for awhile, this is a good excuse!

I'm going to sleep all day!

Although ... maybe it would be cool to check out if they're going to be doing anything on Olvera Street.

I agree. In my house we celebrate all cultures. We read about different culutres and attend festivals whenever we can. I am going to a college pool party. I will post pics!

My in-laws are Mexican and they always have great parties but nothing specific for Cinco de Mayo......maybe because we're right in the middle of most of the families birthdays so something else is planned.

Tomorrow we have my niece and nephews First Communion and the party for that which will turn into a "watch the fight night".

I'd love to go to Olvera Street to eat and drink. I'm sure they will have some festivies planned there. Last time I was there, was over 10 years ago.

DD-I really don't celebrate Cinco De Mayo per se but it is a good excuse to have a party with margaritas, chips and salsa, and just having fun with family and friends. I'll be at my parents house watching the De La Hoya Fight.

Yeah.. we don't do that, but still, America is known across the world for its obsession with St. Patrick's Day. Apparently most of the people who celebrate in America have none or very little Irish heritage.
